Pandora's fingers tightened around Bentley's who did the same and they breathed heavily beside one another, clinging onto the safety of each other for just one more minute.

It was time to go but neither wanted to.

A couple hallways down, Adir and Laken sat together, waiting for their signal. Feelings of turmoil and fear tore through them like trains moving at the highest speed with nothing to  leave them calm.

"What if Sawyer's right?" Laken sudden snapped his head towards Adir. "What if he's bloody right and this is actual killer revenge? We all know how far revenge can go especially when it involves loved ones."

Laken ran a shaky hand through his hair, watching Adir intently.

Adir stayed silent, unsure of what to do. His inside felt like they were twisting into knots and he thought he might actually throw up for a moment. He knew Laken was counting on him to reassure him, that this would be okay but he couldn't tell the future - he couldn't even reassure himself.

Adir clapped Laken's knee with a hand, standing up. Let's find out shall we."

He stood and grabbed a spare computer from the corner, sitting back down beside Laken who fidgeted anxiously. "Pipe down. It'll be fine." Adir comforted the younger boy, glancing at him with a smile.

"Hurry up." Laken pushed, causing Adir to roll his eyes.

"Yes princess." He mocked, causing Laken to elbow him in the ribs.

"I'll snap your head right off, nitwit." Adir threatened, wincing as he opened the computer and logged into the school system.

Adir didn't know much about hacking but he could do the basics, entailing Hendrix to teach him to get into the school survey. It was essential considering how much the group had to break into the office on a monthly basis.

"How do we find out?" Laken questioned and Adir stopped for a moment. "Don't tell me you're just going in with no idea." He deadpanned.

"No." Adir answered simply.

"Really?" Laken mocked, moving his head close to Adir so their noses were almost touching, and making his eyes really wide.

Adir brought his hand back and smacked Laken across the back of the head, earning a snort form the latter. "Shut up before I really do snap your head off."

Laken laughed before quietening down and watching as Adir pulled up Google. "What are we-?" Laken began only to cut himself off. "Oh. Good idea."

Adir hummed in agreement as he pulled up the first article, scanning through the article until he found the name he was looking for.

Charlotte Cane.

He pulled the school log back up, typing in the surname. The keyboard noises echoed in the small room, with every sound magnified to sound like a dinner bell.
