A small wince left Hendrix's mouth as I wiped the blood from his jawline. A large bruise sat along the width, stretching underneath and making its way across. His shirt was rumpled and had specks of blood just as my own.

A phone sat between my ear and my shoulder as I listened to it ring.

Placing my thumb on his chin, I lifted his head gently, and placed an ice pack on the swollen area. He reached out a hand and held the pack in place as I turned around.

I washed my hand, watching as the blood washed off - taking over the natural colour of the water. "Hello?" an answer finally came through the phone and I smiled upon hearing his voice.

"Will? Hey." I greeted, listening to the sound of him shuffling around before he seated himself down.

"Pandora?" I hummed. "Nice to hear from you, it's been a while."

"Yeah, how are you holding up? Do the others miss me yet?" I humoured, wiping my hands with a cloth. I could feel the bruises and cuts on my knuckles stretch and the small specks under my nails stayed as a small reminder of what I would do to anyone who spoke like that again.

"Between me and you, of course they do - you were the only one keeping this station eventful." his laugh was genuine and it made me softly laugh beside him. "I'm still surprised you decided to stay."

I pointed a finger at Hendrix in warning to keep the ice pack in place as soon as he lifted it away. "Yeah, didn't expect it myself..... Don't worry though, I'll be back soon enough. You know, you guys can't live without my fabulous tales of adventure."

"No, no we can't," His voice went from cheery to sad in a split second, which was evident admist the chaos on the other end. "You will let me know if you have any trouble, right? Because the offer still stands, sweetheart."

I lowered my voice, resting my hip on the sink and taking the phone in my hand. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Will. You would have thought I'd count my father as a parental figure but it just seems like the world disagrees with him as much as myself."

"Don't say that-" He softly injected.

"Anyways it is all good on this end, I hope you're doing well too. Let me know if you need anything because I'll certainly show up if I need to teach someone a lesson." I guided us back to a more happy conversation.

He sighed on the other end, speaking up." I'm okay over here too, Sweatheart. I got to get on with some paperwork-"

"Tell me!" My voice peaked up, excited to here about some new incident.

He breathed out, accepting my request. I knew he'd accept - secretly he loved gossiping with me."So, hear this! A wife got with her husband's best friend after he cheated on her, but then apparently the best friend was married and had a wife as well, who was the mistress of the first wife's husband. Understood?"
