It was now 7:30 and we were late

It was now 7:30 and we were late. Really really late. On our journey into the city and towards the stores, Hendrix had yearned for McDonald's which he wouldn't shut up about and soon enough the rest were complaining for it too. So that was our first pit stop.

Our second was a donut shop after Bentley began craving them, almost making us crash as he slammed his hands down on my shoulder from behind as I drove, shouting "STOP!"

I had swerved and missed the oncoming tree.

Now we had half an hour to get there which was impossible but somehow I'd try and make it work. Especially knowing that I was already half an hour late since my parents always expect me there at 7 on the dot. The party was at 8 but they knew I would be late on purpose if they didn't usually make me come in earlier.

My phone was pinging with furious "where are you?" messages from you know who.

During our entire ride, it was a wonder how Adir sat in the passenger seat quietly FaceTiming Sophianna, amidst all the chaos of nearly running over a couple people. He explained to her what we were doing and occasionally flipped the camera to show her the mismatched scenery.

The boys and I gave her a quick hey before he began speaking to her hushedly and a smile graced his face, reaching his eyes. Sophianna only talked back as eagerly as him, looking to be strolling outside as the trees in the background gave some freshness.

I slammed on the brake as soon as we entered the parking lot and I unbuckled myself, and was out of the car without missing a beat, followed by the others.

The doors were roughly closed as we booked it across the street, steering through mass amounts of people even though it was almost dark. Adir reached the door of the expensive dress and suit shop I had picked out, holding it open for us as we all ran inside the brightly lit up store.

The boys had protested at first, saying it was too expensive and they didn't want to use all my money but I assured them I had a lot more than they thought.

They stopped in their spots, all except for Hendrix. Shocked eyes roamed over the racks and shelves of various items whilst me and Hendrix instantly dove in between the objects.

I ushered them to find something and we all went our separate ways as we search every nook and corner. Our eyes ran around and absorbing every colour and style.

I grabbed a navy blue dress, holding it at arms length before I shook my head and threw it to the side.

I could make out the noise of the boys as they wildly searched for the perfect tuxedo in record timing. They originally wanted to get simple, matching suits but I advised them to make a statement. I couldn't let them be boring.
