Ericka and her husband Shane Walsh have battled heartbreak, walkers, and The Governor but nothing prepared them for what was about to happen next or should I say who was about to happen next
The next day we had an unsuccessful meeting with Gregory, thankfully though the people of Hilltop had more balls than their leader and wanted to help fight against Negan and learn other ways they can protect themselves. Rosita and I volunteered to show them how to use knifes, Shane and Rick would be teaching them about guns.
"I think it's time I introduce you to King Ezekiel." Jesus tells us
"King?" Rick says questioning if he heard right
As we entered the kingdom, we saw lots of fruits and vegetables being planted. Alot of people and we ran into Morgan. I instantly felt good about this place, Negan doesn't stand a chance!
"Jesus! What are you doing here?" A man sitting on what appeared to a thrown and by his side is? Is that a tiger? A freaking tiger????
"King, we are asking you to fight and join us at defeating the saviors once and for all." Rick proclaims "Negan killed good people of our group, I'm sure he's done the same to you."
"Who?" Morgan asked
"Abraham, Glenn, Spencer and Olivia." Rosita answers "they took Eugene, Daryl was their prisoner, he escaped."
"Rick Grimes of Alexandria, you have gave me much to ponder on." King Ezekiel says
"Look man, just help us. We have children and..." Shane looks at me then back at Ezekiel "and one on the way. Negan and his people need to be stoped."
"I invite you all to sup with us and stay till morrow, in the morn I shall deliver my decrey." the king. announces as we all head out on a tour of the kingdom
"Do you think he'll say yes?" I ask Shane as we went for a walk
"Hope so, then for sure we would have the numbers." He says "you alright?"
"I'm ok, just worried about the whole Negan issue it's becoming more and more of a threat." I tell him "I'm not even worried about the walkers anymore."
"Negan is a walking dead man already, weither we have the kingdom to help or not we're going to end him." He says kissing my head
"We need to convince him, I'm gonna talk to Rick about us staying here to do so, I know he's gonna say no, when he sat there and listened to your plea I can tell his mind was already made up." I say
"That might work, you can be pretty persuasive." Shane tells me
"So, Daryl's gonna stay, the saviors will be looking for him and this is a safe place for him. I want you two to stay as well and convince Ezekiel." Rick says coming up to us
"We're already on it man." Shane says to Rick as they shook hands "Congratulations, by the way" he says as he's walking away
"Thank you!" Is all Shane says not happy that Daryl would be here also but he understood why he had to be we continued walking until Shane saw something as we passed by a building
"Holy shit, they have a gym?" Shane said in a very cheerful manor almost as if he was a kid and it was Christmas morning, Shane practically lived at the gym when he was at the police academy and that didn't stop as he got older "think Im'ma hang here for a bit release some frustrations." He says to me wrapping me in his arms
"That's fine, I'll head to our room think about what I'm gonna say to Ezekiel." I kissed Shane on the lips as I was about to walk off but he pulled me into him again this time kissing me passionately "take care of my baby." He says rubbing my stomach before turning to the gym
My heart sank as much as I would love the baby to be 100% his I don't know why my head was telling me it's Daryl's and yet my gut instinct was saying it's my husband's. I didn't know which to believe.
As I walked back to my room, I noticed Daryl was inside the hall where we met Ezekiel earlier only he was sitting across from the tiger who was in it's cage.
"What are you doing here?" I say as I stand behind Daryl not wanting to get close to the tiger as it looked terrifying yet beautiful at the same time
" I should ask you the same." He says to me "come here, she won't do nothin'." I then move to Daryl's side sitting next to him as the tiger purred like it was a kitten
"Rick wants Shane and I to convince Ezekiel to join us, but he mostly wants me to do it." I tell him
"Rick wanted me to do the same." He says looking at me
"So the tiger is a girl?" I asked him as he let out a chuckle
"Yeah, this is Shiva." He says . When Daryl said the tigers name the tiger lifted her head looked at me and noded as if she were introducing herself to me
"Oh well, hi Shiva, I'm Ericka." I say looking at the tiger as the tiger nodded again, I wasn't scared of her anymore in fact I wanted to pet her
"She likes you, she senses the good in you." Daryl says as he wraps his arm around me causing the tiger to purr and to stare at Daryl
"She jealous?" I say with a giggle
"Think so." He says also with a chuckle "it's ok Shiva, she's my best friend, she's married, we're good." He says petting Shiva who was purring
"I need to tell you something, Daryl." I begin
"What is it?" He says turning his head to me

"I'm pregnant." I say looking directly in his eyes "I- I don't know if it's Shane's or yours."
Silence
"I found out back at Hilltop, I thought is was the stress of everything at first but then being sick became a constant thing. I am so sorry Daryl!" I say trying not to cry "we just got our friendship back and I don't wanna ruin that.... Shane knows, and since we're married the baby is his no matter what." I say now sobbing "I am so sorry!"
"If it's your husband's no matter what than why you tellin me?" He asked in a surprisingly calm tone
"Cause if the baby comes out with blue eyes that resemble yours, I at least wanted you know your the biological father... you have a right to know ." I say to myself whipping the tears from my cheeks
Daryl sighed and rubbed his face, "thanks for letting me know but the baby can't be mine if your married to Shane but if and only if somethin happens to Shane, I'll step up and help you if it does end up being mine." Daryl then stood up, pet Shiva and walked away
I stood there crying while petting Shiva, who was purring at my stomach, I giggled a bit then walked off to my room
"At least Daryl knows... things will be ok". I say to myself laying on my bed waiting for Shane to get out of the shower
