"Hi! Is JoJo here?" You ask one of the maids, and she nods, smiling. "Yes, actually. He's in the library; he's been waiting for you a while now." She says, and you smile, blushing. "Right! I'll go and see him, then! Thank you!" You smile, and the maid giggles, waving at you. Basket? Check. Books? Check. Notebook with pen? Check. Alright! I got everything! You think to yourself as you run, a smile stretching across your face. Jonathan has been sick for the past two weeks, and you were worried sick for him. Now, that he's finally better, you've prepared a little snack for you and him; cheese cubes, apples, and little mini tea cakes.
You run up the stairs of the Joestar Mansion, waving to the butlers and maids as you pass. The door to the library is already cracked, and you peek inside. Jonathan sits there in the chair, his eyes focused on his notebook you got for him. "JoJo!" You smile, and he raises his head, also breaking into a smile. "Y/N!" He stands up and runs to you, lifting you off the ground and spinning you in the air. "Haha! You really are feeling good now, aren't you?" You smile, and he nods, placing you back down. "Yes! Actually, I have so many things I must share with you!" Jonathan smiles, and you grab his hand, leaning onto his arm. "I'm happy you're back to normal." You say, and he stares at you with nothing but love and admiration for you. "I'm happy you're here, with me." He smiles, and you giggle.
"Come! Look at this!" Jonathan starts to lead you to one of the bookshelves, and you pass his dark blue notebook. As you walk, you catch a glimpse of one of the pages; the whole page is covered with your name and things you and him have done together. That one day when you and him went swimming in the river, when you baked cookies and cakes with Jonathan, and the day you and him celebrated your birthday. It all seemed normal, until the next page you caught a glimpse of was filled with private things you haven't told him. Things like when your family goes on trips, when you start your period, your bedtime, your family member's names, ages, height/weight and birthdays, what size you wear in dresses, underwear, and other things, all the way down to your sock size. "What?" You mutter to yourself, and Jonathan stops, turning around.
"Is everything alright, Y/N? Something the matter?" He asks, and you shake your head, midly terrified. "It's nothing, JoJo; really!" You smile, hoping he doesn't question you. He stares at you for what seems like an eternity, his dark blue eyes searching yours. "Alright." He smiles softly, and you smile back, trying to reassure him you're fine, even though you're actually terrified. "Look what I found the other day! It was Romeo and Juliet, the book you you've always wanted to read!" Jonathan explains happily, pulling out a copy of Romeo and Juliet off of the bookshelf. "Oh, it is! Wait---" You start, and Jonathan hands the book to you. "Here. I want you to have it; a gift from me to you, Y/N!" He smiles, and you take the book slowly, so many questions filling your thoughts.
How did he know? I've never mentioned it to him. Did I forget that I told him? Have I told him before? How does Jonathan know what I've been wanting to read? You think, but suddenly get shaken out of your thoughts. "Y/N? You spaced out for a minute." Jonathan says, looking down at you. "I--Oh, sorry!" You laugh nervously, and Jonathan looks at you, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion and anger. "Are you not telling me something?" He smiles, but his voice sounds bitter. "No--No! I'm okay!" You smile, and Jonathan snaps out of his bitter state, suddenly going back to smiling and his eyes sparkling. "Well, let's go outside now. I'll grab my notebook, and we'll go study the butterflies you wanted to see!" Jonathan laughs, and runs to the table.
You walk slowly behind him, trying to calm yourself down. Your heart's speeding up, and your breath is shaky; Jonathan's hiding something, and you know it. "Ready?" Jonathan asks, his happy voice carrying throughout the library. "Yeah!" You smile, and try to forget about all the red flags you've seen.

"Woah!" You smile, pointing at the butterfly currently resting on the blanket Jonathan laid out for you two to sit on. "It's so pretty, isn't it?" Jonathan asks, and slowly reaches for the butterfly's back; the butterfly doesn't fly away, and Jonathan rubs its back. "Awww." Jonathan says cutely, and you stare at him. What was that side of him that I saw in the library? It wasn't Jonathan; it was a cold, rude, and angry side I've never seen before. You stare at Jonathan, studying him; he seems to be acting normal, writing something in his notebook. "Y/N? Is something bothering you?" Jonathan asks, and you stare at him. "Oh, no! I'm fine! Just a little tired." You smile, and he frowns a bit, before smiling even wider.
"Guess what?" He asks you, and you shrug, wanting to hear what he has to say. Jonathan blushes, staring at the butterfly resting on the blanket, and then pulls out a necklace from his pocket. It's silver, with a lavender star charm on it. You smile, and Jonathan blushes even harder. "I got this for you, Y/N. I had it made for you." Jonathan explains, and you forget about every weird thing you've seen and heard from him today. "Ah! JoJo! It's beautiful!" You blush, and Jonathan smiles, touching your thigh. "I wanted to put it on for you. May I?" Jonathan asks, and you nod, turning around. He puts the necklace around your neck, and clips it in place.
He then wraps his arms around your waist, and hugs you tightly. You try to escape his grasp, but he's way too strong and big compared to you. "JoJo---I can't breathe." You say, and Jonathan whispers in your ear, "That's the point, Y/N." He giggles, and you squirm, trying to move around. "JoJo, stop it!" You say again, voice shaking. "Quiet." He says angrily, and you do as he says, not muttering another word. He's never hardened his voice like this around you before, and it caught you off guard. "Hey, hey! I'm not going to hurt you, Y/N! Come on, you don't have to be scared of me!" Jonathan laughs, and you punch him in the arm.
He lets you go out of shock, and you stand up, backing away from him. "Jonathan---" You start, but Jonathan grabs your hand, pulling you towards him. "Y/N. Don't leave me---I love you! You can't--you can't leave me!" Jonathan says worriedly, and you stare at him, your eyes widened in fear. "You're scared of me, aren't you?" He asks, and you stand there, speechless. "Jonathan, let me go." You say, and Jonathan lets you go reluctantly, his eyes staring at you. "Jonathan." You say, tears filling your eyes.
"I---I'm JoJo, remember?" He asks, and you shake your head.
"Not anymore, Jonathan." You say, and grab your things, running as far away as you can from him.
