Chapter 18 : Riveting Revenge
YN's POV
"This drive is taking foreverrrr….."
"And your annoying, So shut up" Panam replies
Chuckling, I lean past the divide in the seat again and rest my elbows on the middle of it and put my head on my hands, Just watching the dirt… and rocks and occasional bush pass by.
A few moments later Panam asks "Are you Ready?"
As V says "Let's get 'im" And i not my head yes as Panam guns it through the cave and slides the truck into the perfect position for V to get out.
Me and Panam get out the driver's side as she grabs the Rifle and leans it on the hood of the truck firing shots.
Realizing i can't do much considering as I can't see them considering the car is in the way nor can i connect to a camera since they have none, I do what most would consider a risky move, And rush to a barrier with a barrier with a better view point and finally see a person i can Quick hack, So i do so, Rebooting his optics basically making him blind will help out V and Panam a lot forcing the Daemon to jump it affects the rest of the Raffens behind him as well.
Making things a hell of a lot easier for V and Panam, They easily take out the blind and stunned Raffens, Two more cars pull up but V just casually throws a grenade and it blows up both of the cars and all four people.
Making sure they all are dead and stay dead, V goes around and picks up a gun which I assume belonged to Nash and carries it back with her to me and Panam near the blockade.
Panam pulls out a phone and calls Rogue
"Panam" Rogue says
"What did you say again? "Solve your own problems? Clean up your shit" Nash is dead, One shit cleaned. Happy?" Panam says
"And the Sixth Street merch?" Rogue inquires
"Nash can't deliver it anymore, Buuut if you ask nicely, I might be able to help you" Panam says causing me to chuckle
"Help me? I took my cut up front, Honey, But i guess i'm touched, Was actually wondering if you wouldn't forgot about Biz while you were out chasing down a vendetta" Rogue states before she hangs up
"Fuck" Panam curses loudly
"That's her way of saying good job Panam, Should be proud, Not many even get her on the phone for that long" I state as V approaches Panam and asks "So feel any better now?"
"Maybe a little" Panam replies "Let's get out of here"
We follow her back to her truck as V lingers a bit near a barricade staring at it finally getting in Panam calls Boz and tells him to meet at that sunset hotel
"Ok, I arranged our meeting, Let's do the deal and start working on hellman agreed?" She asks V
"Should be Fun" V replies
(Thirty Minutes later)
Pulling into the parking lot. Panam Announces "We're Here, Let me do the talking" as we pull next to the Sixth Streeters
Stopping the Van we all get out V stays near her door holding her gun in secret as Panam goes over to give them the merch and I just wait by Panam's door with my hands in my pockets, Because it's surprisingly cold in a desert at night.
"Hey Boz" Panam says
"Paaanam, How's Nash? Doesn't seem to be answering his phone" Boz asks
"Don't call him anymore, There's no need" Panam Explains
"Heh, You got Balls girls, What's this a Bonus of some sort" Boz replies looking between me and V before i can say anything V replies "Just here to keep you in line"
"Ooooo, Got a little more Sass Then Nash, Do you?" Boz says
"Wait and See" is all V says as i grow increasingly bored of this pointless conversation
"I like this one" Boz says as Panam hands him the merch and says "There , First class merch"
"Mhm" Boz hums out as one of his goons grabs the box and opens it checking inside and showing Boz inside as well
"So everythings in order?" Panam Asks
"Check your Account, Should be pretty plush in a few minutes" Boz replies
"It's been a pleasure but i believe its Rogue the one who's supposed to pay me" Panam says
"You're all right, Think you earned a tip" Boz says as he also states "Let's Roll" and gets into his Van and drives off as Panam states "That went well, Cmon, Let's get a drink on me" Walking towards the glowing open sign on the second floor
"Pretty good day for Panam palmer" V says as she lists who we all pissed off and killed off
"Day's not over, Still a chance for one of or both of you to piss me off" Panam replies heading up the stairs
Reaching the door which leads into a bar/diner
Panam greets the Bartender as Noah as this 'Noah' asks "New Biz or New friends"
Sitting down next to Panam she orders a Broseph for all three of us as V and Panam chat about what was inside the package and Noah sets our drinks down.
All holding a Bottle we cheer to Panam's Thorne as Panam thanks us for everything and we Clink the drinks together and take some big gulps throwing back our heads.
Panam finishes her drink in one series and orders another one which Noah graciously gives her.
V and Panam talk about a possible plan on this Hellman guy but Panam states she needs to sleep on it and says we should all rent a room here and sleep the night, Stay close to the Area, And we'll work around midnight as it'll keep us outta sight.
Panam orders the Room and leaves to sleep while me and V sip the rest of our beer and stand up to leave, Following Panam.
Entering the room we see Panam trying to sleep on the bed, While i offer V the bed opposite her as I'm used to being in odd positions for hours due to netrunning.
"Nah, You take it" She says
"Nope, Enjoy V!" As I sit in the swivel chair next to Panam's Bed and prop my feet up preparing to rest.
Watching V goto the bed I smile as she just shakes her head and nods a thanks.
