"My... human family?"

Chara looked at Toriel in shock, hugging the flower pot closer to themself. "But I've been dead for so long."

"Yeah, no way your parents are still alive after this many years." The talking flower scoffed. "Don't even bother looking for them, unless you wanna search the local cemetery."

"Your real parents may not be around anymore, but Alphys has found DNA matches within the city." Toriel sympathetically said, putting a fluffy hand on their shoulder as Frisk eagerly nodded. "Do not worry, my child. You don't have to, if you don't want to-"

"I want to." Chara said with a determined look in their eyes.

"AND THEN THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WENT FLYING ACROSS THE PARKING LOT!" Papyrus finished telling his story to his brother who was slouching on the sofa next to him as the television was on in low volume for background noise. "THERE WERE NO MONSTERS NEARBY BUT THERE WAS THIS HUMAN, AND I SAW THEM TELEPORT BUT I DIDN'T GET THEIR NAME!"

"Magical humans?" Sans chuckled. "Have you been watching those crazy cartoons with Alphys again? I guess you had a pretty magical day."

"NO SANS, WHAT I SAW WAS REAL." Papyrus huffed. "NEXT YOU'RE GOING TO TELL ME SANTA ISN'T. HE'S A MAGICAL HUMAN TOO, AFTER ALL. NYEH HEH HEH."

"Well, it is close to Christmas." Sans said with one eye closed. "Maybe you did see Santa yesterday."

"But Santa is supposed to be a big, smiling old man." Papyrus scratched his head in confusion.

"That reminds me..." Sans thoughtfully said, slipping his hand into his hoodie pocket and peeking at the ID card he had picked up. "I gotta go to the police station and hand this in to Undyne."

"Hand what in?" Papyrus asked, tilting his head in wonder, but the other skeleton was already gone.

"Heya, Undyne." Sans teleported into the monster security services office, appearing out of thin air and surprising the fish lady. "Looks like your day is going swimmingly."

"GAH, SANS!" Undyne jumped in surprise, hastily recollecting herself. "How many times have I told you to use the door?!"

"Alright, alright... I'll use the door." Sans sighed in exasperation before disappearing and she watched as there was a blue glow through the space under the door before it opened. "Is that betta?"

"You forgot to knock, you nerd." Undyne crossed her arms and leaned back in her office chair. "You and your brother really are alike."

"Hey, don't call my brother a nerd. He's too cool for that." Sans rolled his pinpricks before closing the door and doing it again, knocking this time.

"Who's there?" Undyne boredly leaned her head on her hand.

"Ice cream."

"I walked right into the one..." She muttered and rubbed her temples. "Ice cream who?"

"I scream if you don't let me in." Sans opened the door with his usual grin.

"Just get it over with." Undyne impatiently twitched an eye, gripping the sides of the desk with her hands.

"I found an ID card someone dropped." Sans handed in the card from the previous day he had forgotten about. "I guess you could say they lost their identity."

"I'll take that." Undyne snatched it and looked at the familiar face before inputting the 12 digit number into the system, glancing over to the short skeleton. "So are you just gonna stand there or...?"

"Not to be fishy, but you can get their phone number through that system right?" Sans asked, peering over the table at her computer.

"Phone number, address, it's all there." Undyne told him as she turned the screen at an angle so he wouldn't be able to see.

"Interesting, heh." Sans said as his smile became a little more mischievous when he looked at Greater Dog rolling on the floor in the corner of her office, subtly using his magic to make a floating bone, tempting the large canine who excitedly sprang up and panted, then hurling the bone out the window.

CRASH!

"THAT'S THE THIRD WINDOW THIS WEEK!" Undyne slammed her hands down on the table and chased after the white police dog, jumping over her desk and through the window, leaving the skeleton alone with the computer.

「Y/n POV」

Good evening, passengers.
This is the final boarding
call for the flight to the UK.

"Bye, Mom!" You waved her off as she left to board her flight, then teleported home to the comfort of your cozy sitting room and turned on the television to see an episode of your favourite show that you had already seen enough times. "Maybe I should watch something else."

You sat on the sofa, watching one of the newer channels on the television of a monster that resembled a black and pink humanoid robot, and when you changed the channel it seemed that all of the monster channels were that same robot whether it was the news, cooking, drama, and even commercials.

Bzzzt!

The robot on the screen strutted down a row of fridges for at least seven seconds of silence before stopping at the last one and striking a pose. "I love refrigerators."

Get your MTT refrigerator today!
Now comes with a heat setting!

Getting bored of the television, you pulled out your phone that had just vibrated with a notification from a text a few minutes ago.

Recognising that nickname from the other day, you started to wonder how he got your number then pinched the bridge of your nose in frustration as you realised you had dropped your ID card that day.

Chara is alive because they were revived with the help of Frisk sharing some of their determination. Asriel is still Flowey though but they treat him like family. The "I love refrigerators" part is a reference to a commercial meme. It comes with a hot setting because Alphys designed a hot fridge for Undyne who doesn't like cold food.
