A/N: Writing tomorrow's chapter is tiring, especially at 10 pm. But I have to do it. FOR THE SATISFACTION OF MY READERS AND MY MIND! Also, might be a short chapter. I have to finish 4 chapters or 3.
3rd Person POV
The Caverns were a quiet place. Some people liked the quiet. For others, it was not ideal.
Not when Nightmare came through. Things got a little louder.
Nightmare was now devouring Toriel's pie. To him, it was heaven's food.
"This is the best thing i've ever tasted! Thank you so much, Toriel!"
"It was nothing, my child. Now, off you go to bed. It's 10 pm."
"Mom, can I read before bed, though?"
"Yes, you may, my child."
And so he rushed up the stairs, got the astronomy book, and jumped on the bed.
So far, he was content with it. But it was nothing.
The empty feeling in his heart was still there.
He had to find Dream.
He wanted him to feel this feeling he was having.
But first, this book and sleep. Tomorrow is another day.

Dream had a dream, as usual.
But he wasn't here to hang around.
He was here to find Nightmare.
Nightmare had to have left a clue somewhere, he thought.
And so, he keeps looking.
Time skip to when he finds it (cause it's 10 pm)
Finally, he found it. Nightmare's Dream.
At first, he saw a starry sky and Toriel in gold-blue clothes.
He was at Outertale.
He planned to leave, but an invisible wall stopped him.
"What?"
And suddenly, the goopy octopus formed out of nowhere.
"What... Why are you here?"
Corrupted chuckled evilly.
"I am him, don't you realise?"
Dream realised, but he didn't want to believe it.
"No... you're not him! He'll always be my brother and never you!"
Corrupted cackled.
"Why don't you try to believe? I am his negative thoughts, emotions, everything negative about him!"
"So he really should let me take over... It's the only way to get vengeance... on all the wrongs the multiverse owes me..."
Dream was getting scared. For him, no. For his brother, yes. What if that had been happening all along?
"NO! I won't let you!"
Corrupted started to taunt Dream.
"Oh? What are you going to do about it?"
"Anything. I'll do anything to protect him. I failed him once. I won't fail him again!"
Corrupted smiled. A wicked twisted one.
He grabbed Dream by the chin.
"Listen here, boy. Your brother is on borrowed time. So find him while you can... because I will take over. And I will kill your pathetic excuse of an older brother one day. So you better enjoy the days of your pathetic life. When there is light, there is always shadow..."
And so Corrupted disappeared. And everything fell dark once again.

Dream and Nightmare woke up at the same time.
Dream went off to ask Ink to go to Outertale.
Nightmare went off to ask Toriel to go out.
Brothers that have the same goal.
Children that want to find each other.
A person who's trying to find their half.
Well... the brothers are something.
Opposites, but yet the same.
