Trust Kay to host the most banger parties in the town.

I leaned over to Charlie who, I had noticed before, had taken coke instead of the myriad of drinks being served. Good boy alert.

"Wanna go somewhere quiet?" I shouted in his ear.

"Sure," he shouted back.

"I wonder what Kay's girlfriend thinks about this song," I said, smirking at Charlie while leading him into a corner of the house far away from the blasting music.

Charlie chuckled good-naturedly and shrugged, "Well, he seems quite loyal."

"I suppose," I said, trying not to frown, "But Kay goes by they/them pronouns you know that right?"

Charlie spluttered into his glass of coke, "What?"

I nodded.

"Oh shit- they didn't tell me that," Charlie said, "I would never use wrong pronouns on purpose." He paused, "Why didn't they tell me?"

I waved my hand, "They are always nervous about being annoying. Don't worry, it was nothing about you."

Charlie frowned at his drink, "Yeah, but it shouldn't feel annoying, you know what I mean right?"

My head was feeling like cotton at this point, "No, I don't." I chuckled.

Charlie looked at me and I stupidly said, "Your eyes are soooo blue."

He smiled as a tried to stand straight, and shook his head, "Do I have to be your sober support tonight?"

"Perhaps," I shrugged lopsidedly and then giggled.

After a while Charlie decided it was best if we sat down somewhere, so we took a snack and went to a nice quiet(almost) room where I talked for hours and hours. I think I even told him about Tara and how George had came out as trans to me and everything else between hell and heaven. The boy listened to me to diligently, giving the right reactions at the right time as if he could even understand the gibberish I was spewing. Later I puked and then passed out, and woke up a couple of hours later with Kay and Ana huddled in the bed beside me - Charlie nowhere to be seen.
