[69] Love Conquers All

"Where are we going to sir?" The taxi driver asked.

"To Inambakan Falls in Ginatilan."

"I cannot go to that place because it is too far and it is already late at night."

"I'll pay you double if you'll take us there tonight."

"Ok."

"Where do you think you're going Ms. Beautiful? Why are you packing all your things?"

"I'm going to Children's Haven Orphanage in Cordova Cebu."

"What are you going to do there?"

"I am already very old and I don't have any family to watch over me. Who will take good care of me when I'm already senile and frail?"

"Why didn't you tell me about this?"

"You have your whole life ahead of you. I don't want to disrupt you."

"From this day on, you have to tell me your needs."

"I cannot always call you whenever I need something. Who am I to disturb you when I'm not even your relative? I am ashamed of you."

"Don't you remember me Isabel? I am Emile your husband."

Isabel can't hardly believe what she's hearing.

"What are you talking about?"

"Like what I told you earlier, I already know everything about our past."

"How did you know about our past? Did Pretty tell you anything?"

"No. I find it out myself. I don't believe in reincarnation at first but when I saw how everything fits into pieces, I started to search about my past. I discovered that I was your long-lost husband."

"Emile." Isabel cried.

"Yes, my love. From now on, you have to tell me whatever you need."

"Okay."

"I love you."

Ken kissed Isabel's forehead. They slept in the taxi for a few hours until they arrived in Ginatilan.

Ken left Isabel's baggage in the house of Rodel.

"Here we are. Do you still remember the first time we met here?" Ken asked.

"I remember it so well as if it just happened yesterday."

Ken swept Isabel off her feet.

"What are you doing young man?"

"I'm sweeping you off your feet."

"Oh, I'm not as young as before."

"I know. That's why I'm carrying you because your knees are already weak. I am afraid that you might stumble and fall as we climb up the stairs."

"That's very sweet of you. You never change at all. You're still the same old brand new you."

"I will always stay the same for you."

"That's why I love you."

Ken and Isabel fell into a deep sleep. They were very tired.

"Good morning, my love." Ken greeted Isabel with a smile.

"Good morning."

Isabel stared at Ken.

"Why are you staring at me, Ms. Beautiful? Do you find me handsome?"
