Chapter 1 

The flashes of the cameras made my body tremble in shock. I am still here at the accident and I already expected a crowd, yet I still came here to know what's really going on.

The click of the camera, those flashes, the people's muttering… make my trauma triggered.

Even though many years have already passed, it was still fresh. The trauma that the people gave me might leave me outside… but it was still inside.

Because the truth is… I was still scared. No matter how many things I do to recover from my past, I still can't recover from it.

Because it just didn't haunted my body, but also my mind and my soul.

That's why every time I see a lot of crowds, flashes of cameras… I get scared easily.

I became an actress, I auditioned many times until I passed. I became one of the hit celebrities. But little did they know why I am doing these things.

Dahil ba… pangarap niya ito para sa akin? Na kahit malaki ang takot ko… sinubok ko.

But now, the question is… was I able to cope up with my dark past? Now that the one who helped me recover from my past… suddenly gave me a huge trauma that haunted my life.

I slowly closed my eyes as the tears began to flow in my eyes.

Kaya ko 'to. Kinaya ko 'to, kaya kakayanin ko ulit.

Umayos ako ng tayo. Nang makita kung sino ang dinadala nila sa stretcher, halos hindi ako makapag-salita.

The man that gave me trauma… was there. Silas was lying on the stretcher while there's a lot of burns and blood on his body.

I never wish that to happen to him. Yes, I believe in karma. After all what he did to me, I always tell myself that the karma for him is always on the way.

But this is something that I couldn't expect.

Biglang nanginig ang kamay ko. I suddenly felt a sting on my heart as if I got hurt multiple times.

Napailing ako. I shouldn't have cared about him anymore. Kung pinabayaan niya lang ako noong mga panahong kailangan ko siya… then I have no say to care at him at all.

Paalis na sana ako sa lugar na iyon pero para bang hindi makagalaw ang paa ko. Na para bang may pumipigil sa aking umalis sa lugar na iyon.

Pumikit ako nang mariin at umalis sa lugar na iyon, never minding the people's eyes on me.

"Is that Oceana? Anong ginagawa niya rito?"

"She's that actress! Why is she here? Kamag-anak niya ba or kakilala iyong nasama sa insidente?"

Pinilig ko ang ulo ko at umalis sa lugar na iyon, but I could still hear their voices that's why I immediately ran towards my condo.

"Ano? Na-aksidente si Silas?" gulat na tanong sa'kin ni Avhril.

Tumango ako.

"Hindi naman sa nang-aano ako, ha. Pero… deserved…" biro niya pa.

Inirapan ko siya. "No matter what he has done to me, he still doesn't deserve it." 

"Ay wow! Napaka-bait mo naman po! Anghel ka pa?" aniya ni Phoebe habang tumatawa.

"Hay nako, dagat. Pahawa naman po ng kabaitan n'yo!" malakas pang tumawa si Avhril.

I just sighed heavily.

"But anyways, any updates about Silas? Is he still alive? Kasi kung hindi na, then condolence." Phoebe said in a sarcastic way.
