empty beds and messy sheets
pillows with a lingering scent
imprints on the mattress
where bodies intertwined
and two hearts became one
what was once a safe haven
now lies painful devastation
lonely nights and lifeless eyes
silence fills the air
this house is not a home
if one heart isn't there
