I held my chest when I felt it switching painfully. Seryosong nakadungaw sa akin si Third habang hindi naman ako makatingin dahil nasasaktan para sa kaniya.

My eyes tiredly wandered around. I went stilled when I saw a familiar man walking like he was lost and finding something. Namilog ang mga mata ko nang makilala kung sino iyon!

"Rino?"

Fuck, si Rino nga! Anong ginagawa niya rito?

I immediately walked towards him and he stopped when he saw me. Mabilis ang pagsunod ni Third sa likod ko, halos unahan pa ako sa paglalakad. Rino's eyes glued at the person behind me.

"Hi," Rino greeted and looked at me.

"Anong ginagawa mo rito?"

Ngumiti siya. "To see where you live?"

"Paano mo nalaman na dito ang lugar ko? Rino, anong ginagawa mo rito? Ayoko ng gulo."

"Hindi ako manggugulo, Pristine. Gusto lang kitang makausap."

"Ano bang pag-uusapan natin?"

Slowly, he grinned. "Hm, maybe about the painting you promised me? Sabi mo hindi ka makakapagpinta kaya babawi ka na lang. Gusto kong singilin."

Seryoso ba siya?

Humalakhak siya sa naging reaksyon ko. "Kidding. I won't ask that for now but I'll still ask it, okay?"

"What are you doing here?" Third's cold voice was immediately heard beside me. Idinikit niya ang katawan sa akin.

Rino glanced at his cousin. "I already said. I want to talk to Pristine."

"Ano namang sasabihin mo?" parang galit na usal ni Third. "And why are you calling her Pristine? It's Kristine!"

"Pristine Marie Valencia. That's her real name." Rino smirked smugly. "Pristine suits her better."

"It's Kristine for you, you idiot!"

"Ba't ba nakikialam ka?" tawa ni Rino. "I can call her whatever I want."

"What—"

"Dito tayo mag-usap," putol ko dahil hindi yata sila matatapos dalawa.

Nauna akong maglakad pero walang gumalaw sa dalawa. Third was looking seriously at Rino while the latter was only smirking at him like an idiot.

"You are called at home," Rino uttered.

Third jaw's clenched and looked at him dangerously.

"Tita's mad and hysterical now. You're unreachable. Where's your phone?"

"I didn't turn it on," Third uttered with annoyance. "Go home."

"Shouldn't I be the one to say that?" Rino smirked.

"I won't leave so fuck off,"

Rino laughed. "You should. Or Tita would do something you won't like."

"I don't care. Go home now."

"She knows you're here. But she's disgusted to step in this place so she wasn't here kahit gusto-gusto ka na niyang kaladkarin pauwi. She asked many people to get you out of here but I took over, so here I am."

"I said I won't leave!"

"I need to convince you to go home because that's what I promise her so she'd stop deploying many people to fetch you out. You need to go home."
