I thought I was doing my job good enough last time. But when Mrs. Gallardo confronted me days after that happen, alam kong dumating na ang kinatatakutan ko.

She looks so displeased. Nanliit na ako nang sobra sa mga insulto niya. She said I should've said it. Nalilito ako kasi ang trabaho ko naman ay pagselosin si Kyla and that's the good opportunity to do it! But she disgusts it so much. She was so disappointed to what I did. Hindi ko na alam kung paano pa siya aluin.

"I think you have worked enough." she said after insulting me again to my immobility.

"M-Ma'am?"

"Your job will stop here. You've done your job successfully."

Umawang ang bibig ko at wala pa man ay nanlalamig na ako sa kaba. My eyes are too focus on her, nagbabakasaling mali lang ang narinig ko.

"Kyla's already complaining about you. She's already so jealous of you, Pristine." she smiled. "You're free now. Hindi mo na kailangang magpapaka-stress dito para sa trabahong ito. Congratulations, you're the only one who made it!"

Ngiting-ngiti siya ngayon, parang hindi nagalit sa akin kani-kanina lang. She looks so glad that she's finally dismissing me because I finally did it... but right now, I was trembling in horror.

Paano? Kailangan ko pa ang trabahong ito. Kailangan ko lalo ngayon! I know I should be glad that I did it... pero bakit hindi ko gustong umalis? Bakit gusto ko pang manatili?

"You can leave anytime today. I'll deposit the remaining payment in your account. Pack your things now. I need you to be gone immediately."

Napalunok ako. "M-Ma'am, how are you sure that Kyla complains about it? The last time I did, hindi naman po siya nagsabi ng kung ano..."

Well, she did. I know she's finally jealous. She's finally into Third now.

"Ako ang kinausap niya kaya malamang sigurado ako. She's already agreed to the proposal. She's agreed to marry Third."

"D-Does Third want it, Ma'am?"

Dumilim ang tingin niya sa akin. "What kind of question is that? The wedding's long overdue, you know that yourself, Pristine. Noon pa lang ay nakatadhana na silang ikasal. Third was just waiting for Kyla."

Kung sana ay hindi ko alam ang totoo.

"The reason why they're both busy these past days is because they're preparing for it... the marriage."

Kinagat ko ang labi ko, gustong matawa at gusto ring manghina. She really dislikes me, huh? She hates me so much that she's pushing them and make me hear all of it.

"Ma'am, we're.... we're still not sure about that. Maybe let's push it a little bit more—"

"Are you suggesting to do this job more, Ms. Valencia? Gusto mong manatili rito at gawin pa ang trabaho kahit sinabi ko ng itigil na?"

I felt a lump in my throat.

Ngumisi siya. "I didn't know you were loving this job too much..."

"Ma'am, k-kailangan ko lang po talaga ang trabahong ito lalo na po ngayon. Naospital po ang kapatid ko—"

"Then I'll pay you more." madilim siyang ngumisi. "You have nothing to do in here so why are you still staying? Start packing your things now."

Gusto kong magprotesta. Pero ano pa bang pumipigil sa akin para umalis dito? I want to be out of this job immediately before. I even want to get this done as early as possible so I can go back to my family. Ngayong nandito na, ano pang pumipigil sa akin?
