"Right, Third?" baling ko kay Third na kanina pa ako pinagmamasdan sa likod. "Hindi na sana muna ako nagbakasyon. Para matutukan kita rito't maasikaso na rin. Gosh, I should've known it!"

"My out of town trip was also unexpected and out of plan. Third is just doing fine so I don't think there's a need to cancel it." sagot ni Kyla. "After all, you're here for vacation and not to maid Third."

Gusto kong mamangha. Damn, sumagot! She's already stretched beyond endurance, huh? I smirked inwardly but composed myself.

"Well, taking care of him doesn't seems like I maid him. Do I look like one? Let's just say... taking care of him is like my vacation too. And you know, I'd really love to take care of him so I'm so disappointed that I wasn't inform about your leave." I chattered evilly.

Ngumisi ako at nilampasan na muna silang dalawa para ipahatid sa kasambahay ang maleta ko. Gusto ko na sanang umakyat agad dahil medyo pagod na rin ako pero hindi ko naman pwedeng iwanan ang dalawa. Baka rin bababa si Mrs. Gallardo at kakausapin ako.

"You want to take care of him but gave him spinach..." sabi ni Kyla na nakasunod pala sa akin.

Natigilan ako at napalingon sa kanya. I got confused immediately. Napabaling ako kay Third nang hawakan niya ang braso ni Kyla na para bang pinipigilan ito. Anong meron?

Napansin ni Kyla ang pagkalito ko kaya matapang siyang nagpatuloy.

"You let him eat a lot of spinach the night before you go for vacation, right?"

"Yeah..." Tumango ako, hindi pinagkakaila iyon. Anong meron sa spinach?

"He's got allergies from it." aniya. "He needed to be check because he had a lot of intake. He doesn't eat that so I don't know what did you do for him to eat a lot of it."

"Kyla..."

Umawang ang bibig ko. I did remember that I put a lot of spinach on his plate that night. Kaya ba parang nag-aalinlangan siyang kumain no'n?

Hindi ako nakapagsalita sa gulat. Shit. Totoo ba? May allergy nga?

Kyla somehow looked satisfied when she saw my reaction. Halos wala na akong pakialam sa naging itsura ko. Natulala na lang ako, hindi pa maprosesong may naiwan pala akong kasalanan bago umuwi!

"I'm disappointed that you didn't know about it." Kyla shook her head. "I thought you know about his allergies because I can see that you've been so attentive to him."

"I didn't know. " humina ang boses ko at napailing.

Kyla smiled. Hindi ko na nagawang magsalita hanggang sa tinawag siya ng isang kasambahay.

"Ma'am Kyla, pinapatawag po kayo ni Mrs. Gallardo sa opisina."

Kyla nodded and looked at me, face is full of satisfaction. She kissed Third in the cheek before she went upstairs. Nanatili naman akong tahimik, tulala, at nagsimula ng gapangin ng konsensiya.

Third remained in my front. Hindi ko na siya halos napansin kaya akala ko sumunod siya kay Kyla. He stepped closer to me while I remained there, still astonished and stoned.

"Where did you take your vacation?" Third suddenly asked.

Tulala ko siyang binalingan. "Totoo ba? You're allergic to spinach? Nahospital ka?"

He rested his tongue on his lips and gave his attention to me. "I just got checked. I wasn't hospitalized..."

Natulala lang ulit ako. It's really true! He's allergic to spinach. Kinain niya iyong mga nilagay ko dahil tanong ako ng tanong sa kanya noon kung kakain ba siya!
