Chapter Thirty-One ⊚ Currents ⊚
Sawyer walked around her room, looking for one of Anakin's toys before she suddenly stopped as her eyes clouded over. Barely even a second later, she was sitting in a car, making her furrow her brows until someone spoke up.
"It's Dr. Hilyard again. Can you let Melissa know that it may be more than ten minutes? I think there's an accident up ahead." A woman said, making Sawyer look over at her as the woman drove down the road before a voice came through a phone.
"Yeah, a ten-car pile-up, which is why we need you here!" They said and Dr. Hilyard sighed, "I'm going as fast as I can." She said before hanging up. Strangling the steering wheel in frustration, Dr. Hilyard veers her way through traffic. Sawyer furrowed her brows slightly as she held her hand out, waving it in front of Dr. Hilyard's face but the woman made no movement or sign of acknowledgement.
Sawyer went to grab Dr. Hilyard's shoulder but her hand just went right through the woman as everything around her suddenly seemed like it was all just mist before looking solid again.
