Chapter 6

DELAINEY'S POV

"The one and onlys " Jamie said

"Oh hello there " mrs Kathy says while jumping infront of me .

"You must be the adopters" she says with a fake smile planted on her makeup face.

"Yes we are and we already see who we want to adopt" Vic says giving a glare to mrs.Kathy.

I put my head down and sigh, I knew they would never adopt me.

"That's great ,follow me to fill out the paper work" she says shooing them away towards the front desk.

She shoots me a glare and I already know I'm gonna get it later.

At this point I'm holding back tears as I run up the stairs towards my room, I grab my razors and run to the bathroom.

'how could I be so stupid' I think as I make several cuts in my arm .

I carefully put my bracelets back on and grab a hoodie and throw it on when I get to my room .

Not even 3 minutes later an announcement comes over the speakers.

"Delainey parsons pack your stuff your being adopted" I hear.

my heart drops

PIERCE THE VEIL IS ADOPTING ME!

I quickly throw my stuff back into bags and run down stairs I throw my stuff at the bottom and see Vic and Tony looking at me .

I run to them and hug them while crying

"thank you so much" I say in between sobs

"your welcome sweetheart" Vic says rubbing my back.

then I remembered Brianna!

"I'll be right back " I say as I run up the stairs .

I bust into my old room and see Bree on her bed crying I run up to her and pick her up and hug her.

"I'm gonna miss you so much your my only friend " she says crying

"I'm gonna miss you too Bree" I say crying a bit.

I give her one last hug and hand her the beanie she let me borrow.

"It's okay keep it so you can remember me " she says with a slight smile.

I let more tears spill as I give her another hug.

I hear some sobs behind us so I turn around to see the guys standing there with tears in there eyes .

"Bye Lainey "

"Bye Bree"

We lock arms and walk down stairs she turns me around and hugs me.

"here " she says while fixing my hat and my eyeliner.

"I won't forget you" she whispers into my hair.

"neither will I" I say

"Well we gotta go Delainey " I hear Mike say

"okay,coming" I say I walk away from Bree

I wave as we all walk towards the car,

'I'm gonna miss her' I think to myself .

We both wave as the cars pulls away I see her still standing there in the dust as we drive off I start breathing heavily as she fades into the distance.

"It's okay Delainey " Mike says while rubbing my back.

I cuddle into his side and drift to sleep.
