Cameron drummed her fingers on the table as her brother droned on and on. All she could think about was how she'd rather be anywhere else. Blair couldn't hide her annoyance and rolled her eyes everytime Aston went onto a new topic. Even their father was getting bored.

"Understood." Their father stood, shocking Aston. "Seems like a nice proposal." He then glanced at Cameron, ignoring the other investors in the room. "Wouldn't you agree?"

"I guess so." Cameron stared out the window.

"Something more interesting out there?" Aston said with irritation etched in his voice.

"The clouds are more interesting than-" She stopped when she noticed her father shake his head. "Never mind." Cameron resumed staring out the window.

"Do you have a better alternative?"

Cameron smirked and that's when Aston realized he fell into her trap. Cameron loudly pushed her chair back and slowly stood. She innocently approached him and held out her hand. Aston rolled his eyes and handed her the marker. Cameron twirled around, with a cocky smile. She then spent 30minutes shitting on Aston's idea and how any other alternative was better. Aston's anger nearly boiled over when he overheard two board members whisper that the company would be more secure if Cameron took over.

"Any questions?" Cameron addressed the room.

"No, I think you were detail oriented and your presentation answered any questions I had." A board member spoke.

"Excellent proposal." Another one added.

Aston's chair screeched as he stood. He didn't stay for pleasantries and left. Their father was perturbed and concluded the meeting. Blair and Cameron extended their stay to answer any questions and show gratitude. When the members left, Blair closed the door so she could have a private chat with Cameron. Cameron gave her sister a curious look as she leaned against the table.

"Did you have to embarrass him, Cammie?"

"It's Cameron." Blair gulped at the sharpness in her sister's voice. "My one regret was that I was too soft... he left with his dignity intact." Cameron rolled her eyes.

"That stunt makes him look like an unqualified leader-"

"Not my fault for highlighting how unqualified he is." Cameron approached the door. "Now is there anything else or was it just your plea for me to go softer on the further boss who will run the company into the ground?"

"You constantly compare his competence to yours."

"Hard not to when the whole room is." Cameron clapped back. "Acceptance is better than denial." Cameron opened the door.

"And what do you want him to say? That you're smarter and more capable and qualified?" Cameron closed the door at Blair's question. "Because that would do nothing but solidify people's doubt in his abilities. I'm sorry but you're not getting the job, so accept that he's got it."

Cameron's hands formed fists since Blair's comment struck a nerve. She didn't want to give her sister the satisfaction of knowing she disturbed her. Cameron kept her neutral face and gave Blair a final look before leaving. She smirked as the employees' eyes widened and they rushed to pretend to work. All casual conversation ceased and evolved into professional conversations. Cameron continued walking until she reached her office.

Cameron was about to head to her desk, but stopped when she saw Saige spinning around. Cameron shook her head and closed her door. Saige stopped and laughed that she was dizzy. Cameron snapped and motioned for Saige to move. Saige rolled her eyes and got the hint that Cameron was agitated.
