Jamaica POV
We parked our cars in Clara's garage and got out rushing into the house .Alex,Elena,Michael and Jennifer were watching the news in horror when we entered "man,have you seen what's happening" Michael panicked "you should know the answer since we just came from the city" Max replied and everyone was silent "Goddamit Manohar should have destroyed the drugs" Alex cursed "what drugs" Jennifer asked in panic "the new drug that was produced, the same thing happening to the people happened to a man who took it" Alex explained "you guys should have seen the hostel, even lovers ate each other" I said as I gulp down some water. The house line rang ,Elena who had been silent picked it up "hello" Elena called ,then handed it to Clara "hello" Clara called then silent follows,she didn't say anything after and we couldn't hear what the caller was saying but we knew it was bad news with the way tears brimmed her eyes "I love you too" Clara said before dropping the phone and sprinted to her room and locked herself up

Alex had spoken to Clara after so much persuasion and found out that,earlier, her father was sick and the doctor didn't know the nature, he was bitten by a business partner,who was high on drugs ,after her father was discharged, he turned to a human eater and bit her mom,who knew that she was dying and had called to bid her daughter farewell.I was hurt ,my best friend was in pain and I didn't know what to do,how could things get so messed up in just a high.Alex decided to stay with Clara since he has no family out there, his parents died in an accident while his brother was killed during a raid in town . Jennifer's parents were out of the country and she had gone to the bathroom to phone them while Elena was waiting for Michael who had volunteered to drop her home with his car while on the way to his'.Max father is a cop so he would be busy now,Max decided to go and wait for him at home and I am going to my family in cross wood since that is where our mansion is and Liz went back to her family in London.

I parked my car in front of our glass made mansion, cross wood isn't a really a remote area , cross wood isn't a big street ,there are hardly twenty houses including ours. I picked my bag from the car and race to the house "MOM,DAD" I shouted running to their room but every time I called I was answered with silence, as big as the house, there was no maid since it doesn't get messy "jammie" a small voice called and I spin around and saw my eight years old sister "Elle" I said hugging her while kneeling to her height, she has her pink stuff bear which dad gave her on her fifth birthday close to her chest,her face looks puffy and pale ad if she had been crying "what happened, where's mummy and daddy" I asked "mummy said she and daddy are going out and they haven't came back " Elle replied sniffing. It was weird they left her and went out ,it was something they never did ,anytime they are going out, Elle is always dropped at her nannies house "since when have they been gone" I asked "yesterday morning, after breakfast" Elle replied which made me panicked inwardly, it has never happened before "have you eaten" I asked "no I'm really hungry" Elle sobbed . I threw my camping bag in my room and lead Elle to the kitchen. The fridge was stocked up with food ,I picked two instant noodles and along with a White chicken egg, it took five minutes and it was ready .Elle consumed the food like an hungry beggar which infuriate me to why they would leave an eight years old alone, hungry and helpless

"I tried their number so many times but it didn't go through" I said to Max up on phone, he told me his father was bitten while trying to save a victim ,now he lost him.
it was already past 10pm and I managed to put Elle to sleep .Alex and Clara are coming to my place tomorrow and Jennifer and Michael who are picking up Elena along with Jennifer twelve years old sister . The mansion is a safe place for now since it's a bit in the wood and quite some distance away from the city ,I'm still expecting my parents though ,I left a voicemail for them when I hanged up on Max "hey mom,I'm home and I need you and dad,so wherever you are,you need to come home,I miss you and I love you, I need you and Elle need you" I said as tears started welling up my eyes ,seriously I don't know what pushed me to tears but I have the feelings that they won't come.
