Heyo

So it's been like a while, but here's the chapterrrr.

Merlin watches as Arthur moves around the kitchen, making god knows what. Arthur isn't the best at cooking- he never really was even back in Camelot, not that it's his fault or anything because he had people cook for him.

So Merlin is more than a little wary as he hears him rummage around the kitchen.

His mind going back to the conversation that Clary had unknowingly interrupted. What would have happened if she had stayed asleep? Would they talk about this more in depth or just leave at that?

"Merlin." He looks down at Clary who is looking at him confused. "Why are you frowning?" She asks quietly and Merlin glances at the kitchen, wondering if Arthur can hear Clary talking.

He gives her a smile, one that feels more forced than he would have liked. "Nothing, I'm just thinking if I should trust Arthur in the kitchen alone or not." He hears a huff of laughter from the kitchen.

She just looks at him then shrugs, turning back to the tv. Merlin grabs his phone off the coffee table and sees it's around 1:47pm. Neither him or Clary ate sense 7 when she showed up. They'll have a late lunch and eat supper later.

He also sees he's got a missed call from Gwaine. He rolls his eyes not bothering to call back just yet.

Merlin slowly gets up, placing the child on the couch to watch the rest of Wall-E. "Where are you going?" She asks and Merlin places the blanket over her again.

"Just to see if Arthur has started a fire in the kitchen that needs to be put out." He says causes Clary to giggle.

"So," He walks into the kitchen and sees Arthur just making Mac and cheese on the stove. "No fire yet which is good."

Arthur turns to scowl at him and Merlin just grins. "You're a twat." Is all Arthur says.

He shrugs. "I know. But you love me anyways. And we both know your cooking isn't the best so I came to just check on you." Arthur narrows his eyes at him. "Don't give me that look. You know I'm right."

He walks around Arthur to grab three bowls from the cupboard to his left. A smaller plastic one for Clary because last time he let her use a glass bowl- after she repeatedly said she was big enough to and wouldn't break it- he had to clean up glass everywhere.

So no glass bowls for the small human anymore. She gets a blue plastic one.

He hands them to Arthur one at a time as he fills them up. Merlin places them on the table and Arthur grabs out two spoons and a fork.

The fork for Merlin and the spoons for the two heathens who can never seem to get enough Mac and cheese in there mouth at once.

He brings Clary's into the living room and he takes the blanket off her and folds it and places it  on the back of the couch so it doesn't get dirty from Clary- who has already got noodles on the front of her Belle dress.

Merlin slowly shakes his at her as her eyes never leave the screen. He walks back into the kitchen to see Arthur leaning against the counter, bowl in hand and shovelling food in his mouth.

Merlin picks up his own and eats it like a normal person who's hungry, unlike the others who are eating like it's there last meal.

"I wish we had this back in Camelot."

Merlin raises an eyebrow. "Why?"

"Because it's amazing. Obviously Merlin." Arthur rolls his eyes, looking at Merlin like he's an idiot.
