"Shota" my mum calls out with a warning tone

"Oh alright, he's not a bad kid I suppose he can take her to the prom himself"

"Thanks daaad" I call out while glancing down at my nails. I painted them an hour or so ago and don't want them to get chipped before the big night

I feel my mum tie the bobble into my hair and she fixes the hair that was left to cascade down my back and shoulders

"There we go, all done" she lightly taps the sides of my shoulders, just like she usually does and I hop up out of the chair and stroll back over to the mirror

"Thanks mum" I shoot a thankful smile at her after seeing my hair in the mirror, it was 10x better than what I had in mind

I pick up the beauty blender once more before strategically placing smears of concealer on my face and blending them in. I finish up the makeup, managing to only stab myself in the eye with mascara twice

Wakasa POV:

I really don't want to go tonight

Fiddling with the black tie I was wearing, I walk cautiously down the pathway to her door.

I'm the bloody leader of Kodou Rengou, I don't belong at some silly prom in some silly suit with this silly bouquet of flowers

I slowly meander up the path, passing the flowers from hand to hand as I walked

I've met her parents a couple times before but I'm still nervous

Me, Nervous.

I'm the White Leopard, I've gone up against a hundred men and didn't even bat an eyelash.

And yet here I am, my heart racing as I hold my fist out ready to knock but I find myself pausing. My hand hovered an inch from the door

Taking a deep breath, I finally pound my fist against the door three times before taking a step back

Let's get this over with I guess

Y/N POV:

"Hey y/n do you need any help wi-...you look amazing Musume"

I grin at my mum in the mirror before applying one more coat of lipgloss

"Why thank you"

"That's all you've said today" she replied with a laugh, placing her hands on my shoulders and resting her head against mine.

"I've had a lot to thank you for" I smile at her in the mirror

The door bell echoes through the house and she excitedly rushes out of the room

"Oooh he's here!"

I swear she's more excited about tonight than I am

I hear the distant conversation taking place downstairs and I take one last look in the mirror before slowly walking out of the room.

I can't say I'm not nervous about tonight. I've been dating Wakasa for a couple months now and it hadn't exactly been the most normal relationship I've ever had.

Where you would normally have coffee dates and cinema dates, me and Ima-kun have had midnight rooftop dates and 3am motorbike rides

In fact I don't think I've had a single normal date with him, this is the first event that could be considered a typical teenage thing for us. I want it to go just perfectly
