A life without art, without wonder, without beautiful things- is a world that should not be lived in. Books find a way to live a thousand lives- or to find strength in a very long one. What we need are stories, stories to tell the world, something to be remembered by. Art makes us feel alive. We need art in everything. We need coffee shops and sunsets and road trips–airplanes and passports and old and new songs. We need other people. A living, breathing screaming invitation to believe better things. The truth is stories never end... even if the books like to pretend they do. Stories always go on. They don't end on the last page, any more than they begin on the first page.
