"Will you please tell me what's going on?" I stumbled after Dabi, attaching my mask like he ordered. "Is there a function on that mask of yours that shuts you up?" He groaned, burning through another door. "Haha, very funny.." I rolled my eyes. Wind hit my face again after what seemed like an eternity when Dabi burned a wall down to let us out. "I want you to fly us to that truck over there." Dabi said, pointing at a truck a few miles away. "I'm so sick and tired of you.."

I extended my arm and he grabbed it. My wings were extended and I flew up, pulling Dabi with me. He had Hidou unconsciously slumped over his left shoulder while keeping a deathly grip on my arm with his right. "You're heavy." I said when we landed, he glared at me. "I've seen you carry like three people at the same time.." Dabi responded, I shrugged. "I know. I just enjoy fucking with you." "Get in the goddamn car." He sighed. Dabi pulled the back doors of the truck open and pushed me inside. He threw Hidou at my feet and slammed the door shut.

"Hello?? Dabi?? This would be a great time to tell me what's going on!" I banged on the doors, but the car started moving and I sat down, kicking Hidou's arm away from me. I left her on the floor, she didn't deserve to sit down. "Little shit.." I grumbled, taking my mask off and staring down between my feet. "Your voice changed."

My eyes widened at the.. Truly bizarre sight in front of me. It was two people I never thought I'd see together. A knocked out Chisaki, and a person who used to make my life in the commission base more bearable.

"Miss Nagant??" I jumped up, and sat back down just as quickly when we hit a speed bump. "I told you to call me Kaina kid." She chuckled, smiling at me kindly, like always. My mouth was wide open while I stared at her with disbelief. I haven't seen her since I was 12 and she was arrested for betraying the commission. She literally taught me everything, she's the reason why my bullets rarely miss, the reason why my feathers always hit their mark sooner or later.

She was sitting next to me with Chisaki lying on the ground in a similar manner to Hidou. "I.. It's been so long I just- God.." I stuttered, not knowing what to say. Kaina pulled me into a hug, she was as strong as ever. "You've grown.." She said, ruffling my wings. "I mean it's been four years.." I muttered, shrugging. "Why do you have this douche with you?" Kaina laughed at the disgusted glare I gave Chisaki.

"Orders. Why is the wicked bitch of the east here?" She asked in return, pointing at Hidou. "Honestly, I don't know. I have no idea what's going on." I huffed. My hand traveled to my neck to rub it, but Kaina frowned. "What happened.." She asked, pulling down the collar of my suit to look at the palm mark. "Was it him?" She pointed at Chisaki questioningly. I shook my head. "Nah, his scars are in less visible places, it's just Dabi." I explained nonchalantly.

"Dabi? The one who threw you inside? Why haven't you killed him yet? I sure will-" I laughed, interrupting her upcoming rant. "No no, it's fine. It's pretty complicated between us, I mean he kidnapped me, then was nice to me when I went undercover to join the league, then I found out that he was actually my boyfriend's supposedly dead brother.." I stopped when I saw how confused she looked and laughed again. "Kidnapped? Undercover? Boyfriend?" "I guess we have a lot of catching up to do. It's nice to see you again teach'."

After a few minutes, the door was slammed open, revealing Dabi and Spinner. "C'mon. Get out." Dabi sighed, grabbing Hidou and hauled her back onto his shoulder. Spinner escorted me out of the car and Kaina followed us with Chisaki on her back. We entered a building where we all entered a room. "You. Go prepare for your mission." Dabi told Kaina. She nodded, glaring at him while Spinner walked her out of the room leaving Dabi, Hidou and I alone.

The rest of the league started pooling in one by one, Toga, Spinner, Mr. Compress. They all looked like hell, and Dabi's burns had gotten more severe. "So will someone please tell me what's going on?" My voice was tired, and slightly desperate. I just got dragged from prison into a strange building in god knows where, my old teacher who I haven't seen in four years looks to be working with the league and the woman who dragged me into this mess was lying unconscious next to me.

"What is going on..?"

Scrap that she's awake.

"Can you shut the fuck up woman? I told you before I knocked your ass out that we're going to see the boss." Dabi snapped at her, making her flinch slightly. I know I'm not supposed to, but I couldn't help smiling a little. "It's nice to see you again y/n Takami." A voice from behind me called. I froze. Shigaraki appeared, his eyes glowing with a new type of emotion. His hair was whiter, and he had an overwhelmingly powerful aura to him.

Hidou stood up, clearing the dust away from her prison uniform. It was much nicer than the hospital gown I had gotten. It had pants. Thankfully Dabi thought to steal my uniform. "No need to be scared. I'm here to make a deal.." Shigaraki calmy spoke. "Deal? Why would I make a deal with you?" Hidou asked, trying to put on some sort of brave show. This woman is unbelievable. Really.

Shigaraki grinned, his smile as unhinged as ever, if not slightly more. I gulped. "Because it would get you what you want. Power over the commission. A new and better commission." Apparently he piqued her interest, because she dropped the tough act and furrowed her brows curiously. He walked closer to her, and I backed off slightly, stepping closer to Dabi and Spinner. I was slightly terrified of what this deal entailed, not because of what might happen to Hidou, but my own fate. Why else would I be here if they didn't want something from me?

Have I told you how much I hate living on the edge?

"Director. You and I share similar views when it comes to the commission's incompetence. And we could use your little project on our side for our benefit." I'm really hoping that he doesn't mean me when he says 'little project' because that would really be unfortunate on my side. "How would I benefit from this deal?" She asked him, he tilted his head with a smile. That is not the face of a man I'd make a deal with. Not even on my deathbed. He looks like he'd land me on my deathbed.

"You'll get the position you've always longed for. The position you were prosecuted for trying to reach. The position you created her to get to." He said, pointing at me. I took another step back, almost bumping into Dabi. "Head Commissioner." Shigaraki finished. Hidou stared at him. "We will need a commissioner when we successfully take over, and none of us has the experience or interest to take over the position. So what do you say?" Hidou stayed silent for a moment, like she was thinking about what he just said.

If she accepts this deal- "What kind of services do you need?" Oh my god. He smirked, a very untrustworthy smirk mind you, and turned to look at me. "I want to know everything about the commission, and I want the Lady in Black." Well, it's safe to say my heart dropped at his request, no, demand. Because I knew damn well that woman would hand me over in the blink of an eye to get what she wants. I was doomed. And I couldn't deny serving him because I'm pretty sure that they think I was oblivious to the fact that my brother was a spy, and that I myself was not.

"Of course. We have a deal then." Concurred Hidou. No no no... Shigaraki had a satisfied smile on his face and he held out a gloved arm for her to shake. She accepted, clasping her hand with his in a firm handshake. The next seconds were very quick, but I glimpsed his other hand slide out of his pocket and grabbed Hidou's forearm. In a matter of milliseconds, I witnessed the woman who single handedly ruined my entire life crumble to dust under Shigaraki's bare fingers.

"Foolish woman. We don't work with scum like you."

I couldn't speak. I couldn't blink. I couldn't breathe.

She's dead.
