"Steady there.." Shoto muttered as he helped me out of the car. I had just been released from the hospital and I was now heading back to the dorms with Shoto by my side helping me and carrying my stuff. "Thanks. Jeez it feels like I haven't been here for a year..." I sighed. "I'm glad you're back.. Kei and I were glued to the news channel the whole time." He hummed. "Kei? Like the little one or my brother?" I asked, making him chuckle.

"The little one. He flew over to my room and started squeaking, I didn't understand him so I asked Koda to translate. Apparently the bird was getting worried about you and wanted to know what was happening." Shoto explained as we walked towards the dorms. "Aw, I'm glad that you two are bonding. Oh look it's the others! Hi!" Midoriya, Kirishima, Uraraka and Tsu all turned around and greeted me back.

"y/n! Jeez, you're already back? I mean you were roughed up pretty bad during that fight and you were bleeding a lot.." Kirishima recalled, rubbing his neck nervously. "Well, I'm used to this type of stuff. I'll be fine, don't worry about me." I dismissed. "Well we're glad that you're okay." Uraraka smiled. The six of us walked back to the dorms and opened the front door to enter, but as soon as we stepped in the whole class crowded us and started asking questions.

"We saw the news! That fight must've been very tough.." Denki said, smiling awkwardly. Yaomomo nodded in agreement, a worried look on her face. "Yeah, I heard you guys got hurt.." She muttered, Kirishima shook his head. "Nah, we're pretty good. The only bad thing that happened to me was a couple of bruises. But y/n here," He paused, wrapping an arm around my shoulder. "She took the biggest hits, I mean she held off Overhaul all on her own until backup came!"

I chuckled nervously and shook my head. "It wasn't that big of a deal Kirishima, besides Midoriya did all the defeating.." I mumbled, trying to draw attention away from myself. Kirishima laughed and patted my shoulder. "You're too humble! The fact that you held that villain back for so long all alone is so cool!" He gushed. "Thanks.." I muttered. "Everyone! I know that you are worried but calm down!" Iida interrupted before anyone else could start asking questions.

"We understand your concern Iida, but it's fine, we're okay." Midoriya muttered. Iida fixed his glasses and walked up to Midoriya. "Well in that case. I was so worried about you all! Why didn't you guys say something!" He yelled while shaking Midoriya to death. "Love, we must go and rest now, the exam is tomorrow.." Shoto whispered into my ear. I nodded and cleared my throat. "Please excuse Shoto and I, we're gonna go to sleep a little early since we have an exam tomorrow.."

"Huh? But y/n, should you really go to the exam like this? I mean you got pretty hurt.." Aoyama spoke. I waved him off and smiled. "I'm fine guys, really. A little bullet can't take me down. Besides, I'm almost fully healed thanks to Recovery girl. Anyways, goodnight everyone." They all said goodnight and turned back to ask the others about what happened leaving me and shoto to go up to our rooms alone. As we were walking up the stairs, Shoto's phone started ringing.

"Sorry, I have to take this. It's my father." He sighed, I nodded and kissed him goodnight before we both went our separate ways. As I was walking upstairs to my room, I heard a small ruckus going on the floor below mine. "The hell.." I muttered to myself as I got up to see what was going on. The sight in front of me was surprising, but also hilarious. It was Bakugou, he stood in front of his room with Kei on his shoulder. Now the surprising part was that he was feeding Kei, the funny part was how miserable he was at doing it.

"Just eat it for god's sake! What are you squawking about? Does it look like I fucking speak bird?!" He muttered angrily, shoving an apple slice in Kei's direction. Kei started cursing him but Bakugou didn't really understand, which only made Bakugou angrier. "I see you two are bonding together.." I finally spoke up. Kei started chirping happily and flew towards me, landing on my shoulder. "Thank fucking god. I thought I'd have to take care of your little pigeon if you died." Scoffed Bakugou.

"You'll call him anything but a Hawk... Wait a minute, did you really think i'd die? Your lack of faith has wounded me Bakugou.." I sighed, placing my hand on my forehead dramatically. He rolled his eyes but cracked a small smile. "Yeah whatever." He scoffed. "Oh by the way, thanks for the tip. That hand grenade was pretty useful." Bakugou grinned, giving me a look of 'I told you so'. "Of course it worked! It was my idea after all!"

"Yeah yeah, don't get too full of yourself. Anyways, go to sleep, the exam is tomorrow." I reminded while petting Kei. "I knew that already.." He grumbled in response. I rolled my eyes and turned around to walk away, but Bakugou's hand wrapped around my forearm and stopped me. "Wait. There's something I wanted to tell you." He said, his voice was hushed and his eyes avoided mine.

I whispered to Kei and told him to meet me in my room, he chirped and flew off, leaving Bakugou and I alone in the hallway. "What's up?" I asked, leaning on his room's door. "I wanted to tell you this during our conversation in my room, but that doesn't matter now." Bakugou said, leaning next to me. "Well? Spit it out already you're making me nervous." he rolled his eyes at my words and sighed.

"It's.. It's about that interview that you did some time ago." He finally spoke. I let out a soft 'oh' and waited for him to continue. "When you defended me I.. I wanted to... Ugh I don't know how to say this." Bakugou groaned, pinching the bride of his nose in frustration. I raised my eyebrows, amusement apparent on my face. "The word you're looking for is 'thanks', Sparky." "Tsk. Shut it beak face."

He sighed again, shaking his head as if he was clearing his thoughts. "What I was going to say was I mean I didn't need you to defend me in your little interview, neither did I want you to. I can defend myself," I rolled my eyes and smiled, I wonder where he's going with this. "But. I.. Appreciated it.. But if you do it again I'll kill you, I swear."

I gave him a surprised look. No way he just said that to me... A smile snuck it's way onto my lips and I squeezed his shoulder. "No problem. I only said what had to be said, they had no right calling you a villain on national television. You're one of the best heroes I know dude." I smirked, giving his shoulder a pat. "Heh. Whatever nerd. Go to sleep." He murmured, a small smile present on his lips. I smirked, moving away from his door and making my way to the stairs.

"Wait. Does this mean that you admit that we're best friends?"

"I said go to sleep bird brain."
