31. 𝘍𝘙𝘌𝘌𝘋𝘖𝘔 𝘐𝘚 𝘛𝘌𝘔𝘗𝘛𝘐𝘕𝘎

"Damn it! Is this a gas villain's doing??" Bakugou grumbled with his hand covering his mouth. As we continued walking into the forest we noticed that the smoke and the fire were not class B's doing, it was villains. The league of villains to be exact.

The reason for their attack was still unclear to us, but right now our priority was to exit the forest. We walked together with Shoto carrying an unconscious guy from class 1-B. "We need to avoid the finishing line and head over to the camp.." Shoto said.

I was walking at the front with Shoto in the middle and Bakugou behind him. While we were walking I paused and held out my wing, stopping the other two. "There's someone there..." I mumbled. Bakugou's eyes widened. "Hey... who was before us..." He asked, his voice muffled due to his mouth being covered.

"Tokoyami... and Shoji..." I gulped. "Everyone in class A and B! In the name of the pro-hero Eraserhead, you are granted permission to engage in combat!" Mandalay's voice rang through the forest. Thank god, the villain was right in front of us. Before Bakugou and I could start fighting, Mandalay spoke again.

"We have discovered two of the villain's targets! It is two of the students, 'Kacchan' and Takami! 'Kacchan' and Takami should try to avoid combat and acting independently! Do you understand?!" She communicated. Bakugou shook his head. "Tsk Stop making so much noise in my head you hag!" He yelled and ran closer to the villain.

My eyes widened when the villain opened his mouth and blades shot out of it. I jumped towards Bakugou to protect him, and Shoto made a wall of ice between us. The blades collided with Shoto's ice, but not all of them. While I pushed Bakugou out of the way I felt one pierce through my left wing, and since I reacted so quickly I didn't have time to harden them.

I muffled a scream after landing on the ground with Bakugou next to me. "y/n!" Shouted Shoto from behind me. "Don't go rushing carelessly into anything you dumbass!" I yelled at Bakugou who was still in shock. "How many times do you want me to save you for god's sake?!" I scolded as I gripped his collar threateningly and shook him.

"y/n are you okay??" Asked Shoto while running in my direction, the guy from 1-B still on his back. "I'm fine." I gritted my teeth and gripped my wound. Blood was now seeping through my hands and running down my grey feathers. That damn blade went through my wing as if I was a slice of kebab.

I stood up and got ready to fight again, I was getting impatient and I needed to get out of here. "Bakugou, be careful with your Quirk. One big explosion and you'll set the whole damn forest on fire causing more bad than good." I hissed, Bakugou rolled his eyes. "Shut up! I know that!" He shouted.

We got ready to attack, but I heard a scream from the distance and my whole body stiffened. I frowned. I couldn't identify the scream, it was probably someone from class B... Shoto placed his hand on my shoulder.

"y/n what are you planning to do.." He mumbled, I gritted my teeth. "Shoto I need you two to handle this. I want you to cause a distraction so I can escape from here. I need to go help them-" "y/n no! You can't leave! Didn't you hear what Mandalay said?! You're being targeted!!"

"I-I know okay?! I need to go and help Shoto! If someone got hurt because I didn't help I won't be able to bear it!" Shoto clenched his fist. "How do you think I'd feel if you got hurt then y/n?! y/n please stay here I beg you... I almost lost you that day, I don't want it to happen again... please..." His breath hitched in his throat, a look of desperation in his eyes. 

I clenched my eyes shut and pursed my lips. I looked up at him with a sad look on my face. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry Shoto... I.. I'll be back, I promise." And with that I flew off, ignoring the searing pain in my wing.
