(Shoto's POV)

It has been about four days since y/n came back from a meeting she told me she had, and she'd been miserable ever since. She rarely ate dinner with the rest of the class, she's been missing out on her twice a week training sessions with Bakugou and I'm getting very worried about her. Even Kei, her pet, came to me to express his worries. Well, he didn't express them directly to me, I had Koda help with translations.

Kei said something about y/n rarely sleeping and spending nights either reading files or staring at the sky. I noticed her lack of sleep as well, she'd nod off in class sometimes. My lack of action had made me feel like a useless boyfriend and person in general. I tried sneaking her food, volunteering to take a little bit of her workload, but she seemed to get worse every day.

I took a deep breath, finally I had decided to call her brother. I'm hoping he knows what to do. "Hello Mr. Takami." "Hey! How you doin' bud." He responded happily. "I'm fine sir." "Oh drop the formalities. Is there something wrong?" I took a deep breath. "I need help. With y/n." "Oooh trouble in paradise? What did you do to piss her off?" He laughed.

"N-no, it's not like that.." I muttered. "Right, so what's wrong kid?" "Well, a few days ago she told me that she'd miss our study session because she had a meeting with the commission that she had to attend. But ever since she came back from the meeting, she's been a wreck. No sleep, no food, no talking to other people, no leaving her room. I'm worried. And I don't know what to do." I could hear Hawks sigh at the other end of the line.

"Well.. She did get some upsetting news. But that's all I can legally tell you." He didn't know that I knew about y/n's past, she had told me that hasn't had the chance to properly talk to him about all of the things that she had discovered since the kidnapping. "Look kid, the best thing you can do is be there for her, maybe take her mind off things by distracting her. I'm glad that she got together with a kid like you, it's very thoughtful that you care about her this much."

"Thank you for your advice sir, I'll make sure to try my best to get her to be happy again." "God I wish that's possible.." He muttered, probably to himself. I said goodbye then hung up. I plopped down on the common room couch, trying to brainstorm ideas of things to do that might cheer her up. "Dude, did you hear about the festival in town?" "Yeah! We should definitely go after training today!" Thank you Kaminari, Kirishima.

With my new fantastic idea, I hopped off the couch and ran up to y/n's room. After taking a deep breath, I knocked on her door. I felt a twinge of sadness when she opened the door. She looked at me with the most tired look ever. Behind her ruffled wings I could see all the files sprawled out on the floor, empty coffee cups, painkillers for headaches and a few empty plates. I really hate the commission for doing this to her.

"Oh. Good morning Sho." She muttered, her voice raspy from lack of use. "It's 3pm love. That's beside the point, get dressed, we're going to town." She gave me a confused glance. "But Shoto my work.." "Forget about your work for a second angel, please." "Fine.. Give me a few minutes.." She sighed, going back inside and closing the door.

A few minutes later, she came out of the room with a pretty outfit and brushed feathers. "Right. There, I'm dressed and ready to go. Can you tell me why we're going to town?" I smiled, grabbing her hand and ushering her away from the dorm and onto my bicycle. She stumbled along, a confused look on her face.

"We're going to recreate our first date!"

(No one's POV)

y/n paused, standing next to the bike. "What?" She asked, he gave her a dorky little smile. "There's a festival in town, and you've been working too hard, so you need a distraction for a while. So I thought we could go out again like on our first date." 'I can't do this right now... My first meeting with Dabi is soon.. I have to prepare everything..' She thought to herself, glancing at the smiling Shoto one more time. 'But he's just too sweet...'

"Well then Sho, whisk me away from my problems." He laughed, getting on the bike. She smiled, getting behind him and wrapping her arms around his waist for support. "Christ!" She yelped, gripping him harder as they passed a bump in the road. "This is how I feel when flying with you, but multiply it by 100." He huffed, a big grin on his face. y/n rolled her eyes, a tiny smile on her lips.

After a few minutes of riding, they finally got there. Shoto extended his hand for y/n to take so that he could help her off the bike. "Why thank you my prince. Such a gentleman you are.." She joked. "It is an honour, your majesty.." He joked along, and both of them laughed. The two skipped through town, looking at all the new things in this year's festival. "How shall we start off the day my prince?" y/n asked.

She was already 10x more cheerful now than she was this morning, Shoto noticed. "Let's start off with the darts, just like last time." He said. The two found a dart game, the prize was a little cat plushie. "I'm gonna win it for you, your highness.." Shoto huffed, taking the darts from the man. You need three shots to win, Shoto got one. "You are a horrible shot Sho.." She giggled, switching places with him.

He pouted jokingly. y/n took her own darts, locked her eyes on the target and never missed the mark. "How are you such a good shot.." He sighed as she handed him the plushie. "You should see me with a gun. I guess I should call you princess now." He scoffed, wrapping his arm around her shoulder and walking off. They played a couple of games before it was finally time for the ferris wheel.

"After you milady.." y/n giggled, opening the cart door for him. He shook his head, entering the cart. y/n got in, but the ride moved before she could sit down and she stumbled. "Got you, now you're the princess." He mumbled, setting her down next to him. "Hush. By the way," She began, turning to look him in the eye. "I never got to thank you for this. It really cheered me up to forget all about the bullshit going on. I'm really thankful to have someone to care for me like you do.."

Shoto smiled, hugging her closer. "I'm happy that you feel better. Really. And whatever that thing is that's bothering you, you can tell me okay..?" He whispered, pecking her forehead. "God I wish.. But this information can get you killed.. The only thing I can tell you is that they're making me go on a mission that I don't want to go to because of the things that I might have to do." He looked at her with a sad glint in his eyes.

"Look, whatever distasteful thing they might make you do, I will love and be there for you. And what they're making you do doesn't make you less human, or less of a hero." He said. y/n smiled, leaning her head further into his chest. "Thank you. I believe I promised you more kisses the last time we were here?" She mumbled, looking up at him with a grin.

Their lips connected and they both smiled into the kiss. y/n was happy that she was assured that Shoto would always be on her side no matter what, and Shoto was happy that he managed to cheer y/n up even for just a moment. The two ran off hand in hand giggling after the ride. "So where are we going now?" Shoto asked with a big smile stretching his lips.

"Anything is fine with me! .. Unless you're planning on going through the mirror maze like last time.."
