"𝐷𝑜 𝑖𝑡 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒, 𝑙𝑒𝑡'𝑠 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑖𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑎 𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑛𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡" - 𝐿𝑢𝑐𝑘𝑦 𝐷𝑎𝑦𝑒, 𝐿𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑁𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡

I smiled as I packed my bags. I felt two different kicks and thought maybe it was just the baby telling me that it's still there. I giggled in happiness and ran downstairs to the car.

I got in the car and he took off. We arrived to an airport. I laid my head on his shoulder once we got settled and went to sleep.

I woke up and looked to Rose who was sleeping. I rubbed her stomach and felt a soft kick. Then another kick happened immediately afterwards.

I smiled.

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀. 𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀, 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲. 𝗜 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀.

I tapped Rose lightly and she woke up. "Hm?" She said. "We're here" I responded. I grabbed our bags and we walked out the airport. "I can't believe we're in Louisiana" she said happily.

"Fun fact about me: I was born here in Louisiana" I said. She looked at me shocked. "I like this city. We're moving here" she said, making me laugh.

"Your wish is my command" I said, pulling her in. She smiled, jumping up. I grabbed her, making her squeal as her legs wrapped around me.

I laughed, walking to our hotel room and putting her down. "I'm gonna go get changed" she told me. I nodded and let her go.

I feel so great. I showered and now I'm dressed. I feel like this'll work.

I walked out and laid on the bed, reading a book. I felt two kicks, making me shocked.

𝘼𝙢 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙨? 𝙄 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝙄'𝙢 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙨. 𝙄'𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙛 𝙄 𝙖𝙢, 𝙄'𝙢 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙙. 𝙄'𝙢 𝙨𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄'𝙢 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙙'𝙨 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙. 𝙈𝙖𝙮𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨.

Time passed and I looked up to see David.

"Today's when daddy serves, huh honeybear?" I asked he laughed and shook his head at me. "Come on, I want to show you around" he said. I instantly became happy.

"So you're from New Orleans?" I asked him. "Yeah" he said as we got in the cab.

𝖭𝗂𝖼𝖾 𝗆𝗈𝗏𝖾. 𝖶𝖾 𝖽𝗈𝗇'𝗍 𝗐𝖺𝗇𝗍 𝗍𝗈 𝗅𝗈𝗈𝗄 𝗌𝗎𝗌𝗉𝗂𝗌𝗂𝗈𝗎𝗌 𝗍𝗈 𝗉𝖾𝗈𝗉𝗅𝖾.

We got to a club and I smiled. "This is so awesome!" I screamed. He laughed, wrapping his arm around me.

I looked ahead and seen some people that looked like they were his friends. I looked at David. "Let's go" he told me. We walked up to the people, me hiding behind him as he held my hand.

They dapped him left and right. "Guys, this is Rosemary" he said, introducing me. "Hi" I said shyly and quietly. "She's so cute" one of the guys said in awe.

"Thank you" I said, appearing beside David and slowly coming out of my shell, putting my face into his arm. "Y'all coming by for the holidays?" He asked them as he held my hand.

I looked around and seen all types of decorations. "I wanna get something to drink" I whispered in his ear. "Go for it" he told me, giving me his card. "Be nice" he said. I nodded and kissed his cheek.

I walked to the bar and sat down. "Can I have some water or maybe some apple juice?" I asked the bartender. "What's the reason?" She asked as she got me some apple juice in a glass with a lemon wedge on the side.

"I'm pregnant and I don't wanna be drunk. Plus, I might be having twins" I said. "Congratulations. I don't think I've seen you around here before" she said.

"I'm originally from Connecticut but been in and out of foster homes, causing a lot of stress. I came here with my boyfriend because my doctor suggested that we should travel but be safe doing so" I said.

"I can tell you've never been here before so next time you come down here, holler at your girl" she said, making me laugh and nod. "Thank you" I said.

"Have a good time" she told me as she went back to work. I smiled and sipped my apple juice.
