Two Worlds Apart

Chapter 17

She takes a hair clip and clips beside my hair

"And done" she steps back

I stare at it for a while

"This is soooo nice, thank you" I cooded

"You're welcome" she smiled

It was really nice. She packed my hair in a very neat bun and brought out some strands of hair that fell on either sides at the front of my face, then she used the edge control to style my edges

It looked soooo good

"Wear this" she hands me the shoe I got for the Martinez hotel opening

"But wait I wore this yesterday" I reminded her

"So? C'mon there're so pretty, wear it" she urged

"Alright alright" I take the shoes and put them on

"How do I look?" I asked

"Beautiful" she said

We hear the knock again

"Go go go!" She rushed me

I got to the front door and hesitated for a while before I opened up

"Hey good evening" I greeted

"H..Hey...Hi...I mean good evening"

I tried to bite back a smile

If anyone should be stuttering, it should be me

He wasn't wearing a suit like he was yesterday, but he was still cooperate. He wore dark blue suit pants and white collar shirt which wasn't fully buttoned by the way, and his shoe....

I'm Damn sure if I sell that shoe I can literally buy my shop instead of renting

"You look really beautiful"

I've said it before and I'll say it again, i can die now with no regrets

No wait.....

"Are you ready?" He asked

I nodded and he led me to his car

We got in and i buckled my sit belt

Why are we going out exactly?

I wanted to ask, but I just decided not to

It should be over soon anyways

That awkward silence

We were back to that awkward silence again

I noticed he tried breaking it a lot of time, but it seemed like he didn't know what to say

"How did you Mr Grey become friends?" I finally spoke up

He looked up at me "well...we met in high school, it didn't really take long after that for us to become friends" he casually said

"Senior years?" I asked

"Yeah, he tried to steal my girlfriend" he pointed out and I couldn't help but bite back my laughter

He really seems to like women

"Was that before or after you became friends?" I asked with a chuckle

"Before. We actually became friends because of that." I stared quietly waiting for him to continue and he seemed to have noticed

"I noticed he was always around her and confronted him and he said my girlfriend liked him too. I confronted her and she confessed to it, I um...I gave up and let her go but weirdly, he came to comfort me and apologized for everything. They never actually dated, I think it was for a week or so and he lost interest"

What a strange man

"She came back to apologise but I really wasn't interested anymore but I still hung out with Daniel so it really didn't take long before we became friends" he continued eating

"Funny, he takes your girlfriend and then comes to comfort you" I chuckled

"I know right" he let's out a little laugh

"What about you and Sophia" he asked in return

I put my fork down

"Well....we um....we became friends in elementary school, the 5th grade" now he was the one waiting for me to continue

"I was um.....I was in the cafeteria one day and I realized I forgot my lunch money" I cleared my throat "I was already given the food when I realized I forgot it and if I'm being honest....it wasn't really pleasant when I told them I forgot my money" I chuckled a little at the memory

Eric put down his fork still waiting for me

"They yelled at me and took away the food, Sophia pulled me away because people started staring. She tried cheering me up and suggested we shared her food. I couldn't because I didn't know her all that well but I was really hungry and just had to, we kind of became friends after that" I smiled then picked up my fork again and continued eating

He didn't say anything, I knew he had nothing to say

I wouldn't If I were him, but I saw sympathy wash up on his face

I never told people anything about me because they always had sympathetic looks on their face

I decided to change the mood, it felt too gloomy

"So...How's Crystals coming up"
