I had already managed to get a part time job working in a small but busy downtown diner near the street where I grew up. I am also getting paid for going into an elementary school twice a week to teach art classes to young children. Obviously because I'm still in college I take the other three days to do my college work and at nights I work at the diner and then at weekends I have that free. It would mean my life would be busy but at least I would be doing something.
Kyle also has a job, he managed to get in at a top newspaper in Miami. Right now all he does is proof read the articles written by the journalists but at least it's a start.
Eva is still recovering but the hospital in Sydeny flew her back to Miami where she is going to continue her treatment. she wasn't to pleased at the news as she had the hots for one if her doctors. Kyle still has a terrible taste in men as it turned out Jacob was just about as good as James and he has decided to stay single for a while.
The girls were due to arrive at Miami airport tomorrow, Lauren and I stayed in contact as soon as she left Sydney. We would Skype or FaceTime everyday if we could. I know it wasn't ideal but we just had to make the best of what we've got; and I, I've got the best girl in the whole entire world and I don't plan on letting her go. Ever. Which means that I'll do whatever it possibly takes to hold onto her, even if that means FaceTiming over a crappy connecting. As Long as I got to see her, nothing mattered.
--
I woke up bright and early the next morning to the smell of Kyle cooking breakfast.
"Good morning Y/N." He said when I walked into the kitchen.
"Are you excited to see your future wife today?" He asked and I couldn't hide the smile that took over my face.
"I'm really happy for you Y/N. I genuinely believe you've found the one. You and I have been friends nearly as long as you and Lauren have and I'm so proud of the person you have become and I see how happy Lauren makes you and seeing you two happy makes me happy." He said and I ran up to engulf my best friend in a tight embrace.
"Thank you. I'm proud of you too, I'm proud of how you handled everything in your life so well. I'm really happy that your parents got back together a little while ago and I'm sure you are going to find Mr right when you least expect it." I told him before he presented me a plate full of waffles and I thanked him with a smile.
"When is Lauren getting back?" Kyle questioned as we both ate the breakfast he prepared.
"In about three hours or so depending on if her flight git delayed or anything but she hasn't said that it has so presume she's on schedule." I explained as I placed my empty plate in the sink.
"I take it she'll be here at some point so I guess we better clean this place up a little then." He said with a smile.
"Yeah, I'm picking her up and we're dropping her mom off at home and then she's going to come back here and I'll take her home to her family tonight." I informed Kyle on the plan for today.
"Awh are the family not letting you two spend the night together until you're Mrs and Mrs?" Kyle asked jokingly.
"No, she just hasn't seen her family in a while so she should spend time with them because her family are more important to her than anything." I reminded Kyle as we started to tidy our apartment.
"You are her family Y/N. Both of you are pretty much the most important people in each others lives." He told me with a sincere smile.
"Have you thought about the future yet? Do you have a date in mind for the wedding? Do you want kids? Where are you two going to live?" Kyle bombarded with questions.
"Honestly, I haven't really had much thought into the future because with Lauren's career it's kinda difficult to think about future plans when most of the time she doesn't know what she'll be doing in the next five minutes let alone five years. Obviously I would love to have a family with Lauren and I don't care where in the world we are, all that matters is that I will be with her." I answered before going back to trying to clean the apartment.

The airport was busy as was to be expected when someone famous arrives. I stood behind a large crowd of teenagers who were waiting to meet the girls, I had already been here for a while and there was no sign of the girls anywhere.
I waited for about another thirty minutes when I heard a loud scream and I figured the girls had arrived.
It took another good twenty minutes and a lot of security until the girls were in my sight. My eyes immediately landed on the beauty the was fiancée. She was walking with Ally and Dinah whilst Camila and Normani were walking behind them. They all looked overwhelmed but then who wouldn't be after you just practically got charged at by teenage girls.
The girls continued to walk through the airport and I stepped put in front of the path that Lauren was walking in. She was looking down at the ground and she dumped into me.
"I'm so sorry." She said flustered.
"It's fine babe." I said and I heard her scoff before she looked up.
Her eyes met mine and she went from looking disgusting to a smile completely taking over her face.
"I told you I would be waiting for you when you got home." I told her before pulling her into a tight embrace.
"I love you so much." She whispered in my ear as we hugged.
"I love you too." I whispered back. We pulled away and waited for her mom to catch up before we left.
Once her mother caught up I took her suitcase in one hand and her hand in the other and lead the three of us put of the airport.
--
"I'm so glad you're home." I told Lauren before placing a chaste kiss on her lips once we got into my car.
"I can't wait to spend the next two months with you." Lauren said to me just as we pulled up outside her house.
Her mom climbed out of the car and Lauren and I followed suit. I got her suitcase out of the back and walked up to her door behind her. We decided that Lauren would see her family for a little while then spend the afternoon and evening with me before going back home.
Lauren's family were all happy to see her home and happy to see her well. She spoke to her dad and siblings for a while and I slipped into the kitchen to help her mother with preparing the lunch she would be serving us. I was amazed that she even had the energy to cook after getting off long flights.
"She's filling them all in on our engagement and showing off her ring I bet." Clara guessed correctly as I approached her.
"I'm really happy things are turning out well between you two. Mike and I, along with your parents, always knew that you two would spend forever together in some way." She said with a smile on her face.
"LUCH IS READY!" She called and all the Jaureguis filled into the kitchen and sat down at the table.
"I like you Y/N, I always have but if you break my daughters heart one more time I will track you down." Mike whispered to me and I swallowed hard.
