Christian

I crept towards Asia as she stood still until I reached her and placed my palm on her cheek. My thumb grazed her soft skin. Asia looked into my eyes as my brows furrowed.

"Christian."

"Asia."

Asia placed her hand on mine.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you."

"You stepped down as the alpha because of it. Why?"

"Because my mate died, and I understood I couldn't lead a pack. Azeral should have been an alpha."

"Azeral didn't have the qualities for an alpha. That's why my Luna rejected him and accepted you. Everything had become vicious as a wolf even when we mated."

Flashback

"What are you waiting for, boy?" Father growled.

"Father, I can't."

My father stepped towards me and looked into my eyes. "You will mate with your Luna. Do not embarrass me in front of the tribunal."

I furrowed my brows.

"You will mate with your Luna or suffer the consequences."

I lowered my head, turned, and entered the dwelling. Asia stared at me as my eyes narrowed. Her eyes expanded as I lunged for her. She screamed as I pinned her face down to the floor, tore at her dress, and entered her. My eyes turned red as I thrust into her, claiming her Luna while she whimpered. My teeth grew, and I pierced her shoulder and sunk into her flesh as I pushed inside of her until I finished.

I scrambled off of her and hurried backward as Asia turned and stared at me. I glanced down to see the blood on her shoulder and in between her legs. I averted my eyes. "I'm sorry."

I watched Asia curled into a fetal position and cried.

End of flashback

"Mating has always been brutal. I understood it when I became a Luna."

"We were thirteen."

"Christian, a Luna needs purity for an alpha to mate with her. It helps seal the bond."

"I refused to touch you afterward."

"The mating ritual scared you, but it didn't last. We had four wonderful children. And now a grandchild." Asia stepped away from me and peered into the playpen.

Silas held up his arms to her, and she lifted him out of the playpen. Silas smiled at Asia as I watched their interaction. Then light swirled around them as they illuminated with blue light.

"Silas retained the Dreamweaver essence," Asia said.

"How do you know?" I asked her.

"I can feel the essence. It's what draws me to Silas."

"Will this endanger his life?"

"No, because he has wolf and witch in him. They will counterbalance the Dreamweaver part." Asia sat down on the couch and held Silas in a standing position. She held his hands, then released him as Silas stood without support.

"We'll need to work his abilities to stop any future catastrophe," I mentioned.

I sat on my throne as the Dreamweaver withered on the floor and screamed.

"The patient needs help or won't survive the birth," the midwife said.
