I watched her board the jet.

I could hear the screams from the air. The cries were louder than every plane on the runway.

I could feel her heart shattering.

I knew it was wrong, but I want to reach to the sky and pull the jet down.

I wanted to hug her.

I wanted to hold her forever.

I knew it was wrong to send her away. She was assured to always have help and protection, but it wasn't enough for her heart to handle.

"Come now," Cassia's voice snapped me out of my trance.

I turned around and offered her a small smile before grabbing her hand.

As we walked into the house, I couldn't miss the memories.

The huge house seemed grey and dull now.

The ghost of her laughs filled the downstairs area.

I could hear her soft footsteps sneaking into the kitchen when she thought the house was asleep.

I remember having the pleasure of giving her the tour. After discussing house rules, we were compatible.

I could see the fading spirit of her racing up the stairs as I tried to get her.

The house was quiet enough to hear her tears fall to the floor as she tried not to kill me when we argued.

Her smile was disappearing into thin air.

I had grown too attached to the girl.

Now, we would both suffer.

But first, we would finish this.

"What do you want us to do?" Cassius asked.

"We will do anything," Cass chided.

"Kill everyone," I responded. I didn't need to think about an answer.

"Scarlett will hate you forever," Cass said with a frown.

By now, her flight would have landed in New Haven. Pain tugged at my heart. I could only imagine what she was doing.

We put her through that. "We have no choice, none of this was planned," I responded.

"Even Nina?"

Ah, the girl who was left behind. We couldn't risk her coming out to the public. Now that the news was international, curiosity would spark. All attention would be turned towards Scarlett and I.

We had to send her away. That's what I kept telling myself.

"Kill everyone. I will handle Santee," I mumbled.

Cassia and Cassius looked at each other before making phone calls.

With the little information they ran on, I loved them for their loyalty.

I stomped up the stairs.

The faint smell of Scarlett lingered in the halls as I passed by her room.
