Three days have been passed since Sammy handed over a pile of work that I assigned to her—and now she's turning over my work since she's in Palawan right now with her girlfriend, Julia and they were celebrating their 7th anniversary.
Ilang araw na akong busy dahil sa kakaharap sa mga meeting ko, mabuti na lang at online na ang lahat. Elle needs me and I need her kaya namab pinili ko na araw-araw sumagot sa mga clients at makipag-meeting thru online para hindi ko na kakailanganin pa na umalis.
After my last meeting for today, I decided to went to the kitchen and make a snack for my Elle—she's resting inside our room. I made an egg and tuna sandwich for her, sliced two appleas and peel two sankis for Elle. I also made her fresh apple juice and sliced two sliced of chocolate cake for her before I went up to our bedroom went to the master's bedroom.
When I was about to turn the door knob I was stunned, my chest suddenly throbbed for no apparent reason I tend to ignore it and proceed on turning the door knob, I catch Elle sitting on the bed, her eyes were wide and she is seemingly trembling.
"Hey are you okay?" I immediately laid down my wooden serving tray on the side table and ran to the bed,"Bakit nanlalaki ang mga mata mo? May nangyari ba?"
"Yohan… S-Si Daniel…" He slowly raised his head, her face were flooded with fear.
"Bakit? Ginulo ka ba niya ulit?"
"N-No… sa tingin ko nabaril siya."
"W-What?"
""Tumawag siya kanina... t-tapos.. tapos... may narinig ako n-na... n-na baril... Yohan nabaril si Daniel! Nabaril siya! Anong gagawin natin?" Her voice cracked as she said that, she even grabbed my t-shirt and shook me.
Nabaril? How? Ang alam ko naging busy si Julia sa dami ng mga naka-aasign sa kanya and she's even in Palawan right now along with Sam. Kaya imposibleng siya ang gumawa pero sino? Sino ang babaril kay Daniel?
"Shush!" I immediately locked her in my arms and rubbed her back "Don't think about it, okay? Everything will be fine," I whispered softly as I calmed her down.
"P-Pero n-nabaril siya—"
"It's okay mahal, wala kang dapat ipag-alala."
"Y-Yohan... si Daniel..."
"Huwag mo nang isipin 'yon."
"Y-Yohan… n-narinig ko… n-narinig ko yung putok ng baril. T-Tapos… T-Tapos.." Her voice was shaking and she seemed to be running out of breath as well.
"Enough baby, enough. Calm down, walang nangyari okay? Please pretend as though nothing occurred. Daniel didn't call you, and you didn't hear anything."
"P-Pero…"
"Shush—enough baby." Sinubukan ko na pakalmahin siya, iyak lang siya ng iyak hanggang sa makatulog.
Marahan ko siya na inihiga si Elle sa kama at pinunas ang mga luha sa pisngi. Agad kong kinuha ang cellphone ko na nasa kama at ini-dial ang number ni Julia.
"Hello Juls?""
"Yes Yoh—Ahhh~ T-teka nga lang Babe mamaya na, kausap ko pa si—"
"Hoy Carbonel! H'wag ka ngang istorbo no'ng mga panahon na kayo ni Elle ang may ginagawang milagro, hindi naman kita inistorbo ah. " Mukhang may ginagawa silang something na dalawa, kung kailan naman importanteng-importante ang sasabihin ko e.
"Just a minute Sam, I just want to talk to Julia. Please."
"Sabihin mo na, naka-loud speak naman. Bilisan mo lang,"
