General POV

'Beckett?' Gibbs spat

'Yes they're signed' Elizabeth said.

'Lord Cutler Beckett of the East India Trading Company.'

Jack was holding the letters of marque. And sticking his tongue out making a fake gag when he heard Beckett's name.

Did he know Beckett? Rose thought to herself.

'Will was working for Beckett and never said a word.' Gibbs said.

Jack was gripping the hand where the P was engraved in.

'Beckett wants the compass. Only one reason for that.' Gibbs said to Jack.

'Ofcourse.' Jack looked back at Gibbs.

'He wants the chest.' Rose said.

'He did say something about a chest.' Elizabeth admitted.

'If the company controls the chest, they controls the sea.' Gibbs explained to Elizabeth.

'A truly discomfiting notion, love.' Jack said to Elizabeth

'And bad' Rose said

'Bad for every mother's son what calls himself a pirate.' Gibbs said to Elizabeth.

'I tink there's a bit more speed to be coaxed from these sails.' Gibbs said before walking off

Rose nodded and walked after him.

'Brace the foreyard!' Rose yelled.

Jack however stayed put and took a step closer to Elizabeth.

'Might I enquire as to how you came by these?' Jack asked.

'Persuasion.' Elizabeth simply replied and she took a step back.

'Friendly?' Jack asked.

'Decidedly not.' Elizabeth replied.

'Will strikes a deal for these and holds it with honor, yet you were the one with the prize.. full pardon.

Commission as a privateer on behalf of England and the East India Trading Company.'

Jack turned himself around and pushed the letters in his pocket.

'As if I could be bought for such a low price.'

'Jack, the letters, give them back.' Elizabeth said walking after him.

'No.' He simply replied.

'Persuade me.' Jack said with an smirk on his face. But looking in the corner of his eye if Rose was in sight.

He was sure Elizabeth would never do that. She was an pampered little daddy's girl with an fierce best friend.

Elizabeth laid her head on Jack's shoulder.

'You do know Will taught me how to handle a sword?' she said.

Jack closed his eyes and let out a small sigh.

'As I said, persuade me.' Jack said and he walked off.

Elizabeth walked over to the rail of the ship looking out over the water.

James walked over to her.

'It's a curious thing.

There was a time I would have wanted you to look like that while thinking about me.'

Elizabeth bit on her lip.

'I don't know what you mean.' Elizabeth said while turning around

'I think you do.' James replied.

'Oh don't be absurd. I trust him. That's all.' Elizabeth said.

And James smiled walking off.

'So you never wondered how your latest fiancé ended up on the Flying Dutchman in the first place?' James asked Elizabeth and then he walked off.

Elizabeth thought for a second before grabbing Jack's compass and opening it.

And it pointed west. And when Elizabeth looked up there stood Jack..

She closed the compass and let out a big sigh. Before shaking her head and going further with helping the crew.

Elizabeth looked up to the upper deck again. To see her best friend Rose. Talking with Jack.

There was no way Elizabeth could ever have feelings for someone like Jack.

And she could never ever do that to Rose.
