I woke up this morning, tempted to jump off my balcony window but everyone would miss me sooo much I decided burying myself in my pillow was a better option. My door bursted open with the dramatic entrance from Hayden,

"Rise and shine b*tch" he twirled into my room as I groaned at the thought of this boarding school. "Oh come onn! Be positive. To be honest I'm quite jealous you get to escape mom and dad for who knows how long!" He tried to cheer me up, I have to admit it was working.

After the morning I had my bags packed and bought to the jet where Daddy and I travelled from Los Angeles to New York.
"I have decided, since you're going away to un-cut you off." He announced,
"Finallyy! Took you long enough." I hugged him excited now I can actually party.
"Although you're only getting $5000 a month. Since you're in school most the time you shouldn't need a lot just be responsible."
This annoyed me. But it was fair so I just nodded my head and looked outside the window.

Eventually we got to New York but had to take a Chevrolet up to the school which was only 10minutes away luckily. I couldn't bare any longer with my father he's just so..boring.

We arrived at the school and my father just simply left me there. Like no help. At all. I have no clue whatsoever on what to do I'm just stuck outside this gate with 2 massive suitcases I can't carry. Finally, I found a button and a speaker attached-guessing it's one of those things you talk into. I pressed it,

"Helloooo?..." I asked,
"Can we help you?" A muffled voice came through,
"Ah yes. I'm currently stuck outside this locked gate with 2 suitcases I can't even move." I asked,
"Umm whats your name?" They asked,
"Aria, Averill. Just send someone."

A few minutes past and a boy around the age of 16-17 approached the gate, opening it. I have to say, this first boy I met was pretty hot. Maybe boarding school wasn't such a bad idea..

"I warn you, they're very heavy" I laughed a bit with an apologetic smile,
"No worries." He picked them both up as we began to walk to the tall building (it looked a bit like this)

"So you're the new girl?" He asked, "Aria Averill" he emphasized my name enthusiastically.
I scoffed, "yep, thats me. And you are?"
"Dylan Ecerok" he nodded, as we walked into the entrance. We carried on walking as he showed me to the girls dorms-the boys were on the left side of the building and the girls the right, then all of downstairs were classrooms and all that.

"So you're a sophomore?" The boy asked,
"Yeah, are you?" I replied hoping he said yes,
He laughed a little,
"do I really look like a sophomore?" He raised an eyebrow concerned,
"Not necessarily-I just thought since you asked." I laughed with him,
"Well, I'm Junior actually" He said,
"since you're joining Halfway through the winter term you'll probably be behind in most your subjects."
I groaned just at the thought of anything educational,
"I really couldn't give 2 sh*ts about school-I'm never going to need it." I stated,
"And why is that?" He furrowed his eyebrows at me,
"I'm an Averill. All I have to do is look pretty and be publicly sensible."

God why did I say that, now a sound like a right b*tch.
"Ah..well here's your destination" he dropped my suitcase and walked off as if I was a crazy person.

"God I'm such a dick" I muttered to myself sitting down on my bed, I scanned the room quickly to look at my roommates-they seemed average.

"Come on. I wouldn't say that." Spoke a voice from the bed closest to me, "you seem more of a b*tch than a dick I'd say" she snickered as I looked at her confused.
"Oh you're funny." I rolled my eyes,
"Aren't I" she replied matching my sarcasm.

"Well. What are you doing her Averill?" She asked in a rather rude way,
"You're not excited to see me?" I smirked a bit sternly looking at her,
"But seriously, what 𝑎𝑟𝑒 you doing here." She asked again,
"That's none of your business Bartley. My life doesn't concern you." I rolled my eyes once again,
"Keep doing that they're going to get stuck in your head" Bartley muttered, as I got up to wonder around the building.

It was a Sunday so no lessons or anything were going on, just students wandering around the corridors. The fact Jemima Bartley's here makes me want to lock myself in a dungeon to rot to death. The Bartley's were our families rivals, we were both wealthy well-known families, but everything's a competition between us.

I walked a bit faster through people as I wanted to get out of this busy corridor, I bumped into a few people but was determined to get out of this war zone.

My shoulder bumpt against a tall brunette boy causing him to yell, "watch it!" At me,
"Aw I'm sorry. Did I hurt your precious arm?" I scoffed as he turned around, "pathetic" I muttered to myself as I walked away.
"What was that?" The brunette argued,
"You heard me." I turned around to give him a glare, as he scoffed.
"Aria Averill." He stated,
"Cole Bartley." I said as I looked him up and down,
"You've changed." I told him, "you don't look as if you have a pole stuck up your ass anymore." I snickered as he rolled his eyes,
"I would say the same to you but..well you still have one up there so it wouldn't be the truth would it now?" He argued even more,
"You're one to care about the truth." I sarcastically muttered loud enough for him to hear,
"Grow up Averill." He kept eye contact not giving in,
"You grow up." I looked up at him as he huffed.
He bent his head down a bit, lifting my chin,
"I'm older than you."He let go and stood straight,
"By what. Like nine months?!" I snickered and folded my arms. We just stared at each other, not breaking eye contact for a little longer-I didn't want to break it, I would look weak. He looked away,
"Why are you still here?" He furrowed his eyebrows, I walked away into the crowd.

I walked around for a while until I found a sort of secret garden hidden in the forest in the school grounds, it looked beautiful.

I guess I am lucky I'm not with my toxic family for a while, after all I think I've done pretty well to not be a 'sad lump of whatever that is'  for one day
