He doesn't understand the teasing at first, and that makes it more entertaining for everyone else around him. He struggles to understand his feelings for you, and when he realises they are teasing him, he gets frustrated and hits back at them.

He's not embarrassed that they tease him, but he is embarrassed that he didn't tell you sooner. He's not the kind of person too get shy, but he was waiting for a special moment to tell you. Having to do it in front of everyone is not exactly how he planned it to go.

Greg plays into it in an attempt to become less embarrassed. He admits to it and tries to joke about it, then glows red when someone points out that he is only doing it to act cool in front of you, but inside he's embarrassed.

Mycroft gets very protective over his feelings, and only wants to spill them to the person on his terms. So when someone tries mocking the way he acts to you, he will point out who they like to the whole room, or will find another way to embarrass him. This makes it hard for you to tell whether he actually likes you, so when he finally tells you it is a big shock.
