He hasn't been able to sleep properly for days, so when he wakes up in the night again he is frustrated. This quickly dissolves when you wake up next to him, watching how tired and red his eyes are. How unable he is to focus on anything. He speaks about the case, but that slowly descends into his own doubts about his own abilities - something he never divulges to anyone else or at any other time. He thinks his skill is fragile, and that is why he is so desperate to protect it.

In the early hours of the morning, if you two are still awake, you can laugh at anything. Literally anything. John might yawn a little weird and it will send you. Your giggles get louder and louder until you eventually fall asleep, then struggle to remember why you laughed so much the next day.

Jim never talk about his work unless he has too. . . or unless its midnight and you're both so tired but you can't sleep. He won't tell you any of the darkest moments, but he'll definitely tell you the things he said that he thinks are funny. You end up laughing mainly because of how hilarious he finds himself.

Greg will open up at night, and talk about things that bother him. But usually he is so tired when that happens that he falls asleep almost immediately after. He doesn't always remember what he has told you, which gives you the opportunity to secretly comfort him without him knowing that's what you're trying to do. He also compliments you a lot more at night.
MYCROFT

Mycroft is so used to waking up very early and staying up. Sometimes you wake up with him purposefully to spend time with him. Although he does wish you would get some sleep, he privately loves it when you wake up early because he finds how you ramble in the morning cute. After your rambling, you usually ask something very personally or say something meaningful which really entertains his mind because he will always answer you - no matter what. This leads to some very interesting conversations about society, the nature of man and the future.
