»In which world do you live in, now?« James's voice pulls me out of my daydreams instantly. I smile at him shyly, getting aware of my fingers toying with the necklace he presented me this morning. I still cannot believe how much sweetness is in this massive picture of a man.

Turning my head towards him, my body inhales his side profile like it was air for my lungs. »Bella should've gone for Jacob.« When he frowns, his gaze never leaving the street, I continue explaining. »Twilight.«

»Ah, that kind of romance every little girl wishes to experience?« he asks mockingly, indicating he does not know the content in the least. Who would want to love two guys and not being able to decide which one is the better choice? It seems like a hell on earth to me, like being in between chairs and never being sure which one will not break underneath one's weight. Especially with one being made of fangs and a love for blood, and the other one clawing at you and scratching your skin deeply when wanting to get away.

»Okay, you just got yourself a full Twilight-night with me. I hope you are free on Wednesday, because even if you don't, we gonna watch it.«

He whines pitying himself. »Do I look like I like that kind of stories?«

»Do I look like I care?« I raise an eyebrow and cross my arms in front of my chest, when he shoots me a short glance and starts grinning. »Besides, I could make you read the novels, and that would take much more time than a movie night.«

»You couldn't.«

»Don't you underestimate me, Barnes.« I hold up my index finger, underlining my statement.

»Never.« he says sarcastically, and by now, I know he is in on Wednesday.

»I hope you got Netflix.«

»What is Netflix?« he asks totally serious, and he could have driven into a tree, it would have shocked me less.

»Who the fuck doesn't know what Netflix is? You've got to be joking!«

The light pink on the top of his cheek tells me he is not. »Urgh, how old are you? A hundred years?« I roll my eyes theatrically, while he only smiles to himself. »You are very lucky your girlfriend's family Netflix account is open for one more person.«

»I guess I should count myself just as fortunate to have her, then.«

»Oh, yes. And how fortunate you should count yourself. Therefore, I am going to make you watch Shakespeare in Love with me, next.«

He stops the car in front of the house I live in. »Yes, we'll see about that soon enough.« He bends over to me, giving me a short, gentle kiss. I really could get used to the intimacy between us. »Have fun tonight. Mind sending me a picture?«

I raise an eyebrow. »What is in there for me?«

»Won't you do something to make your perfection of a boyfriend happy?« he counters, and I almost start laughing and interrupting the little act of ours.

Almost. »Send me a video of you training, and I might consider it.« I grin, furtively giving him a peck on his cheek.

»Deal.« I hear him smirk, and I wonder if he is going to keep hold to his word.

A glance on my phone tells me it is already six o'clock in the evening, when I see James's black Mercedes-Benz G500 AMG turn around the corner. I still wonder how someone with a job in the social area is able to afford a flat like that and a car like this, but I will not question it. Money is a topic I do not want to talk about, because it does not matter for how much I think of him, or anyone in the world. It is nothing that defines people in the least, that is what my parents taught me, and it is something one does not question.
