"And just like how Lady Cassandra is with her instruments," Adela said, her eyes not leaving the stove.

"Wait a minute, Lady Cassandra plays instruments?" She asked.

"She has the entire music room to herself, but only her sisters and Lady Dimitrescu, have access to it. If my memory serves me well, there was a servant who entered inside that room by accident and we heard that she was converted into wine the next day." Ingrid stated. "They're all musically inclined, but not as the same extent as Lady Cassandra. Lady Bela can play the cello and sing, while Lady Daniela can play the saxophone. Lady Cassandra plays every instrument you can find inside the music room."

Clementine nodded. "How about Lady Dimitrescu? I mean, if her daughters are that talented then she's the same with them right?"

"I've never seen her hold an instrument before or even play the piano in the living room. I only saw her paint; but I have not seen her do anything musical." Ingrid said.

"What's that smell?" Clementine asked diverting her attention to Adela's cooking.

"I'm making spaghetti," she smiled. "This is almost done so if I were you i'd sit down."

"Finally! I'm starving." Red said.

"Clementine sit with us, we can't finish that with just the four of us." Pam said.

"Right! Plus, you haven't been sitting with us during our meal times because you're of your busy schedule. This is the perfect time to catch up." Ingrid said.

Clementine laughed. "Okay, okay i'm sitting down now," she sat down beside Ingrid.

Adela turned the stove off and lifted the pot with spaghetti inside. She approached the table and placed the pot in the center.

"Alright! Dig in while it's still hot." She chimed.

They each took a turn scooping the spaghetti on their own platters. As they ate together, happy murmurs and grins filled the room. They were all laughing as they started to gossip about certain things, Clementine felt even sadder knowing that she would never eat with these people again.

"Clementine, why are you so quiet?" Ingrid asked her, noticing that she was observing them.

"You haven't even touched your food yet." Adela also stated.

Clementine shook her head and laughed softly. Rather of joining them, she was satisfied to watch them converse and laugh with one another; all she wanted was to see and remember this moment before she disappears.

"The food is still hot and i'm having fun watching you. I mean, who knows if i'll I see all of your smiles again," she forced a smile trying not to cry. She wanted to think about positive and happy thoughts at the moment but her mind doesn't seem to cooperate.

"Why do I feel like you're trying to say goodbye?" Ingrid held her chin staring at her with a crippled forehead.

"You're not thinking of escaping are you?" Red gasped.

She shook her head again and let out a hearty laugh. "Do even think I would live the moment I stepped out of the door? Of course not. I'm not going to escape i'm not trying to bid goodbye. I'm just happy," she quipped.

Silence filled the table as they all stared at each other with confused expressions.

"Why are you quiet all of a sudden? Let's eat!" Clementine rolled the fork over the pasta and ate it.

The four ladies shrugged their shoulders and started to eat and gossip once more. No matter how they find Clementine's words weird they couldn't come up with words to utter.
