Astrid's P. O. V:When night has fallen over the city of Camelot, in my long sleeved white shirt and sleeveless brown leather tunic dress and black pants, with my locket around my neck, I grab my blue cloak and my long sword, before I head to the stables.
Today is Saturday, the three thousandth year anniversary of my husband's and son's deaths is in just two days from now.
I just have to get away from the castle.
I reach the stables and greet my beautiful black thoroughbred stallion, Eclipse, his coat as dark as the night sky, stroking his velvety muzzle.
I did not bother with any tack. I just lead him out of the stables by his mane, his hooves clopping on the cobbles. I mutter for Eclipse to halt and I gracefully mount him, kicking Eclipse into a swift gallop as I grip his mane, racing out of the castle and away from the city.
Merlin's P. O. V:
A few days have passed and no one has seen Astrid. The guards have said they'd seen her riding out of the castle late one night, but have no idea where she's going.
As I was helping Gaius get dinner, I ask him, "Have you seen Astrid?"
"No. But I know where she'd be right now," He says. "Away from everyone. For today is the three thousandth year anniversary of her family's deaths."
