Ever since our last "study session," every time I went to Eren's place, it was for one thing only. He'd text or call me randomly during the week to "study", or vice versa, and we'd either end up in his car, one of our dorms, or the private study room in the back of the library. However, we had never gone past third base. The most I did was give him head and he'd eat me out in the excellent way that he does.

While I was certainly enjoying these secret little moments we shared, I couldn't help but feel guilty for what I was ignoring. Eren had grown a bit more comfortable around me, so he wouldn't try to cover up his wrists as much, and I was able to clearly see that he was still in pain.

The few times I had tried to bring it up, Eren had shut down in front of me entirely, sometimes ignoring me for days. So, lately I had been holding off. I just had to keep reminding myself that this would take time.

But, I had another pit in my stomach as well. I had mentioned it before, but Eren's personality had changed drastically since he'd come back from the psych hospital. He had become a total fuck-boy flirt that, when I saw him on most nights out, I couldn't stand. I never talked to him at parties, nor in class, because he was just a different person when it wasn't just us two alone. I had seen him walk out of frat houses with many different girls wrapped around his arm. But, it was out of my hands. Eren could be who he wanted to be— he didn't need my permission.

But, I couldn't deny that it made me jealous. I hated being jealous more than anything, and I knew that the more I hung out with Eren, the more my attachment to him would grow. That was part of the reason why I was actually looking forward to the party Hitch invited me to— maybe she could help me find a guy to get my mind off of Eren.

I sighed deeply as the morning sun cut through the blinds of my dorm room. Eren's bare arms were wrapped around me as he slept, and I traced the scars across his wrists lightly with my index finger. They looked like they were fading. I hadn't seen anything fresh since I had last been with him, which was good. I wondered if it was just by coincidence, or if there was actually something that made him change his mind—

My phone buzzed on my nightstand. I reached over to grab it, fighting Eren's strong grip to keep me in bed.

"I'm still sleepy," he groaned lazily.

"Then sleep," I replied, falling back into his arms and settling in. "I'm not doing anything."

"You're not leaving?" he asked, breathing into the crook of my neck.

"No. I just had to grab my phone. Relax, Eren."

"I am relaxed," he leaned over to give me a quick peck on the cheek. "I just don't want to get up. You know I have to leave when you do... Even though you don't have a roommate," he added, mumbling.

"You're right— but, what kind of person would I be to leave a random boy alone in my dorm, free to snoop and steal whatever he wants?"

"Random?" Eren's voice cracked, slightly offended, "I'm not random."

"Shush. Go back to sleep," I ordered, opening my phone to read the message. "I'm busy."

    "Busy with what?"

"I said to be quiet," I repeated, looking back at him. Eren frowned. I turned away again. Suddenly, I felt his voice right next to my ear:

"I'm going to eat you alive, one day," he whispered menacingly, taking a fake bite out of my ear.

I shook my head, hiding a smile, and finally opened my message:

I felt Eren blow on my neck— the surprise made me shiver.

"Eren, quit it," I said, slapping my hand over my nape to stop him from touching it.

"Pay attention to me," he whined.

    "Sleep," I responded.

Eren bit the inside of my shoulder in protest. I rolled my eyes, turning to face him with an annoyed expression plastered on my face. He stared at me tiredly, green eyes flat on my face.

"You're so hot," he mumbled, touching a hand to my cheek.

"Yeah, and Jean's not an alcoholic," I muttered back sarcastically. Eren probably says that to everyone. It's how he gets them to keep coming back. I was angry at myself for being so tightly wound around his finger. But, I reminded myself, that's what tomorrow's party is for— to get my mind off of him.

"I'm serious," Eren defended, pulling his hand away. "I think you're really pretty, (Y/N)." He stared at me with pleading eyes. I knew what he wanted. Our relationship had shifted from him using me for school notes to him using me for sexual favors. It was barely a step up from what we'd had before, but I had to continuously remind myself that I should take what I could get.

I scowled. "Alright, whatever. You can come over tomorrow night to 'study'— again. Go home, now. I have class soon."

After I had finished my long day of school, I met up with Sasha, Connie, and Jean for dinner.

"Mmm, I love ramen," Sasha said, slurping up her noodles.

"Stop it, Sasha! You're spraying broth all over me!!" Connie complained.

Jean rolled his eyes, continuing to eat quietly, "What were you saying earlier, (Y/N)?"

"Oh, that—" I paused for a moment to sip my drink, "— I was wondering if you guys were going to Floch's frat party tomorrow night."

"What? We can't," Connie interjected, answering for Jean. "We weren't invited."

I raised an eyebrow, "Neither was I, but I'm still going."

    "How?" Sasha asked.

"Hitch invited me to go with her," I replied shortly.

The table stopped and everyone exclaimed in unison: "Hitch?!"

"Yes, Hitch. We're friends... of sorts."

Sasha talked with food in her mouth, her voice muffled, "Interesting. Well, no, we won't be there. It's invite-only and Floch doesn't like us."

"Nor do we like him," Jean mumbled. "You're probably allowed to go as her plus-one."

I pursed my lips, not liking the thought of my friends not being close by.

"Don't worry, (Y/N)," Connie reassured, "You'll have fun without us."

I nodded solemnly, turning back to my dinner. An exclusive party, huh? So that's why Hitch needed someone to go with her.
