BDSM:
Its full form is Bondage/Discipline/Dominance/Submission/SadoMasochism. It is a type of lifestyle where there are two or more people involved. It can be poly as well.
Dominants assert their Dominance on the Submissives. But it does not mean that Subs are weak, they choose to give their power away, which can also only be limited to sex. As for Doms, they are not power hungry assholes, they like taking care of people or taking control of things. There is no abuse of power and it maintains equality, just because someone is a sub does not make them weak! Doms also thrive from making their subs happy, aftercare is therefore very important for all the people involved in the scene. Whereas a Sub gets a massage or bath or any other relaxation medium, the Doms also satisfy themselves by making the Subs relax.
If any of the above conditions are not matched then it is not BDSM.
Also, not all the Doms and Subs are involved in relationships, it can be just sex! It is not even FWB, it is just people having sex with consent.
