"Always & Forever"

I have loved you in darkness

like the bulb adores the soil,

enfolded within you,

nourished by your very breath,

protected from the cold.

I love you now in radiance,

like the leaf drinks in the sun,

dancing in your dappled light

that stirs the breeze,

my whisperings but one part

of the chorus of your beauty.

I will love you in perpetuity,

as the flower loves the field.

"Come," you beckon,

"Fill and be fulfilled!

Grow old with me, and joyful!

Die happy and be reborn with me

for every season and all time!"

I have,

I do,

I always will.
