"What are you planning to do with the kid?" I asked as soon as the metallic door shut closed.

Maris then let go of a tired sigh and closed her crystal tab, leaned on her chair and looked towards me.

"She is a very important person on this mission, Hagalaz. She might be the key to this mystery."

"She's only 17. A Minor, she cannot be with us during the mission." I interrupted.

Maris then chuckled as she looked at me.

"Who even told you that she will be coming with you guys?? " She said and continued to chuckle then rested her cheek on her hand.

"Chill. I know."

"I am planning to take her to the Academy under my supervision." She then said.

I sighed and looked away.

"You aren't really learning from the things you did, aren't you?" I seriously said as I observed her lively face started to get serious.

She then looked onto her crystal tablet and released another heavy-burdened sigh.

"The higher officials are having an ongoing investigation regarding the unauthorized flight of SPX03 Sleipneir and about Von. Not to mention, the report questioning as to why Von having the emergency access codes for landing that Captain Meinhardt owned." She stated.

"It's HIS OWN codes, Maris." I said seriously and walked towards the table facing her.

"Vaughn's memories are slowly coming back and sooner or later he will be spilling out more things that will expose him more on the higher officials... " I continued as I looked onto her seriously.

As our eyes gazed seriously at one another, we both already knew what we are anticipating.

"You can never hide a skeleton from the closets forever." I continued as I watch her closed her eyes.

We both knew that Maris would soon be in big trouble if we do not plan our next steps carefully. The higher officials probably are already are curious with the newly recruited "Captain Von Devi" as he keeps on creating 'interesting issues" in this mission.

Multiple issues are slowly skimming to the surface the longer we do this mission. The more failures, the more exposure of Maris' plans.

She then stood up and looked at me seriously. She then gave me a smile as she posed with all her grace.

"Then if that time comes, I will prepare the whole Xavierheld Military to welcome back their long lost hero, Captain Vaughn Meinhardt." She confidently said as she stood there all with her confidence.

She then walked towards the door and gave a final salute to call the day. My hand also greeted her the same as the metallic door opens.

"Good night Captain Hagalaz." She said and smiled.

My sight just followed her as she walked away. At this point I really don't know whats running inside her mind. But I can really tell that she's beginning to ran out of options.

My chest started to worry about her.

The light of the day finally illuminated the world outside of this hospital as I stare onto the windows on the hallways.

Busy nurses and medical staff started their busy schedules for this day and slowly filling the space onto the empty hallways.

My feet brought me to the small cafeteria where I slipped few coins onto the coffee machine. As I hold my cup, my sight was caught by a familiar face sitting lifeless onto one of the couch in the diner.
