DATUM 40: The Servant

Start from the beginning

"VON NOW!!"

Agad na bumalik ang aking diwa as I heard Tristan screaming at me. My body immediately started to automatically function and run towards Stella's cylinder, picking up my combat knife along the way.

Hagalaz and Tristan teaming up to clear the incoming troops once more. They depend on me now. This mission depends on me now!!

Stella's life depends on me now.

I could see her more and more as I finally approached the said glass cylinder.

With one forceful hit, I stabbed the safe part of the glass with my combat knife and the cracks run as fast as it could break the whole container as Stella fell on the floor all unconscious. Her chocolate brown dark hair covered her face onto the floor.

I felt something struck in my chest. A painful familiar emotion.

Tristan's Point of View

The sound of the glass cylinder marked the success of our mission as I shot the last armed man in this room, Hagalaz still paying attention and trying to get rid of the said annoying man from afar.

At this rate, it's basically useless to even kill the said man, but the man keeps on bugging Hagalaz after Von for some reasons.

"Tristan!"

Agad akong napalingon nang marinig ang boses ni Von from the back. I saw him carrying Stella in his arms and somehow it made me feel relieved.

"Go ahead and run!"

"Are you kidding me?? How about you? How about Hagalaz?"

Fuck that shit. He's right, hindi namin siyang pwedeng iwan. I gazed upon the only two people left exchanging fire in the banquet hall.

At this rate, I have to do something—

Agad na natigil ang aking pag iisip nang biglang dumaplis ang iilang bala saaming kinatatayuan. I raised my head and was astonished to see the said weird man running towards us, while Hagalaz still chasing after him from behind.

Shit—

"Lets go!!!!" I commanded at Von who looked damn confused and out of his mind.

"How about—"

"Shut up and run!!!"

I shouted and for the first time, Von basically listened and ran outside while carrying Stella towards safety. At this point wala na akong ibang choice.

My sight was caught by the reflection of sparkling crystals located onto the ceiling. A not-so good idea got inside my head, but as seconds pass, the chances of this mission is going at risk of failure.

With one swift move I fired my gun upwards causing the crystal chandeliers chain to break and fall upon the red velvet curtains.

My eyes witnessed how the heavy curtained quickly enveloped the said weird man, and not to mention Hagalaz, but the situation called for me to run for our lives, and for the mission.

Forgive me Hagalaz, but I know you'll still find a way.

Hagalaz' Point of View

My whole sigh turned into total darkness as the heavy red velvet curtain fell from the ceilings towards us.

At this point, hindi ko masisisi si Tristan sakanyang desisyon. It was a matter of success or failure, but god damn this person.

I immediately secured my gun as I struggle to find an exit. The curtain is still wobbling, and that makes me confident that this asshole might be also trying to find his way out.
