How was work today?

Well, one of the supervisors went off on me for something that happened when I wasn't even working.

A customer got loud with me and said "I'm not trying to argue!" even though I never started an argument.

Oh and my favorite part? I was helping a male customer order some jeans online. He then asked if I wear that brand of jeans and proceeded to look at my ass and check me out. My coworker was ready to beat the shit out of him.

I'm going to quit.

But other than that I hope you enjoy this update!

It's an emotional ride for the Mendes family!

Enjoy.

Gabriel's POV:

I stood at my dad's grave.

"I knew I'd find you here." I turned around. "Hey Vir." I smiled. "What brings you here?"

"I knew what today was." She shrugged. "I know Mariana is with your grandfather." I nodded. "I didn't want you to be alone." She put her arm around my shoulders.

"It's been 21 years." I mumbled. "I never even knew him but I just miss him."

"He's your father. You never met him, but you know him. You're a lot like him, Gabriel. So much like him." I looked at her. "The way you are with people. I see a lot of him in you."

"Good thing?"

"Great thing." She laughed. "Gabriel and Mariana were the best people I have ever met. When he passed away," She shook her head. "My heart broke. For Mariana, your grandparents, everyone he knew. Then I found out you were born. I knew Mariana would be there for you, that's just how she is. Even if you were left in the care of your grandparents, Mariana wasn't going to let you grow up without her." I laughed. "My heart broke for you. I remember when I first met you. You were so tiny. You had no idea what was happening."

"I still don't." I said.

She laughed. "There's your father." She said.

We stood there and looked at the grave. "Thanks for being here with me."

"Anytime, kid. Aunty Vir is the best. Don't you forget it."

I laughed. "My sister never does. Felicia is very fond of you."

"I'm fond of all of you." She said. "You kids really put life into perspective for me. Now? I've got kids of my own."

I felt my phone vibrate. "It's Mari." I answered it. "Hey."

"Get here now."

"Ok. I'm on my way." I hung up. "Think it's time."

"I'll go with you."

Luna's POV:

"I'll read over the case in the morning." I said. "I'm tired. It's been a long day."

I saw my phone light up.

Mom

I sighed. "Mom I'm kind of busy."

"You need to come home, Luna."

"Why? What happened?"

"For Mariana."

"I'll get the next flight." I hung up and looked at my assistant. "Send me all the files and book me a flight to Portugal." I sighed.
