Your Eyes Tell

Draco held your hand tightly and directed you through the dimly lit streets and narrow pathways. You quickly followed behind him, trying to keep up. The two of you giggled in the streets. You were having so much fun, you never wanted it to end. Draco helped you up on a small hill, where you tried your best not to fall, since you were wearing boots with heels. As the two of you neared the top of the hill, Draco asked you to close your eyes.

"How will I see where I'm going then??" You asked. "Don't worry, I'll guide you" he laughed at your reaction, and covered your eyes with his hands, and helped you up on the hill. "Okay..." he held you still. "3..2...1... open!" You opened your eyes and were immediately mesmerised. You exhaled softly at the sight. Beautiful city lights shone in-front of your eyes. You could see the whole cityscape from the hill, you were looking down on all the buildings and houses. The lights twinkled, and your eyes opened wider. They were like colourful stars. You kept your eyes glued to the view, but spoke to Draco. "How... how did you know.."

He placed his chin on your shoulder and looked at the view with you. After a moment of peaceful silence, he asked, "know what?" You turned your head slightly to see his face leaning on you. "How did you know I love the city view... it's my most favourite thing in the world. It always calms me." He looked up at you, the lights reflecting his eyes, and smiled. "I didn't know." You blinked at him. "I just assumed it would be something you would like. I saw your reaction to the snow, so I thought this view might be nice too. You seemed like the type of person to appreciate the beautiful and small things in life" he softly spoke. He couldn't help but give you a small, but tired smile.

You held his hand tenderly and sat down on the grass below, Draco following you. A gentle breeze brushed against your skin, and softly blew your hair in the wind. You felt your heart rate slowing, and felt your body relax. Draco let go of your hand for a moment, and shifted his body, to lay his head in your lap. Your eyes gazed over the colourful lights, as Draco's eyes looked at you. His half open eyes scanned your face, and took in your beauty. He was truly sure he was in love.

You brushed your hands through his soft, blonde locks, and looked down to see Draco already looking at you. The two of you locked eyes for a long moment. Neither of you looked away. You started shifting in your place, so Draco lifted his head from your lap, allowing you to lie down next to him. Now the two of you laid on the smooth grass, and stared up at the real stars in the night sky. It must have been around 2am, and the stars were brighter than ever. You felt a feeling of deja vu come over you. You turned your head to look at Draco, but he was immersed in the stars. You smiled at how he watched the sky.

The two of you lay on the grass for a while, in perfect silence, listening to the wind whistle past your ears. Sure, your dress was getting dirty from being on the floor, but it was definitely worth it, and you would do it again in a heart beat. You turned to Draco, and who turned to face you too. Slowly, you leaned in and kissed him on the lips. You gently kissed his lips, and he kissed back. His thin lips worked with yours, and cupped your face with his hand. You pulled him in closer to deepen the kiss. After a moment, he pulled away and you smiled at him. Every time you looked at him, you couldn't help but smile.

"Y/n... should we go back?" He softly asked. "Hmm we should.. it'll probably be sunrise soon" you joked. Draco stood up and extended his arm out to you, and you held his hand and stood up with him. He snaked his hand on the back of your waist and slowly walked you down the hill, and back to Hogwarts.
