it was a quarter to six. jiyeon was patiently waiting by jungwon's locker, staring deeply at the hands from her watch ticking as time went by. "hm, the teacher must've overtimed his class." she spoked to herself.

seconds were getting wasted. jiyeon couldn't help but wander on the empty hallway, seems like everybody was on minding their own business now.

"found you." jiyeon giggled.

the girl tiptoed her feet to avoid having noises. meanwhile, her victim was unaware of her presence. simply just walking on the floor. once she reached her target, she snuck behind jungwon's back and put the pressure of her hands on his shoulders.

"BOO!"

jungwon's loud screech could be heard. he was clearly terrified. jiyeon cackled to the floor while hugging her stomach, trying to catch her breath.

he was about to get mad until he saw her face. he's never seen her laugh this hard. the first time they met, she only gave him a cold shoulder. this time knowing he's the reason behind her positive mood, jungwon couldn't help but let out a smile.

"you're so childish."

"i am. it's the closest to feeling like one again." she sighed and finally stopped laughing. they shared a moment of silence for a while until jiyeon finally stood up and approached his figure.

"what do you mean by you want to feel like one again?" jungwon questioned her by nudging her arm beside his.

"i don't know. i guess i just miss the times when, i only care about my toys and my cartoons. now, i have to think about what i wear, what i eat, what girls think and uh.." she paused. "..what boys think too."

a hint of embarrassment was heard from her voice when she started to tone it down. she was definitely hiding something from him but then again, he was nowhere near the place to ask her that yet.

"i know it sounds cringey but you don't have to care about what others think jiyeon. you're perfect just the way you are— i-i mean—"

jiyeon looked at him and smiled. seeing his blushing face made her feel much more better. "i know what you mean jungwon. but that won't make you have me easier." she teased and flicked his nose.

"i wasn't trying to make a move you goof." he rolled his eyes. "so where are we going anyways?" jungwon brought a topic back, facing her.

"about that.."

"what?"

jiyeon didn't respond back. instead she grabbed his wrist and ran towards the light from the entrance door of the school. "slow down!" jungwon yelled, jiyeon too distracted to hear.

"why did you bring me here?"

the two were currently standing on the grass. to be more specifc, at the field. "you're new here right?"

"obviously."

"every year, a football tournament happens here. it's usually three hours long. but if you get bored, we can leave and you decide on where to go." she suggested just in case.
