"Is that you, Vivien?" I asked.

"Depends who's asking," replied Vivien.

"Remember me from Freshman year," I said.

She was taking a close look at me and then said, "How could I forget you."

Vivien and I were close friends until she moved at the end of freshman year. She only lives a few miles away, but we haven't talked since she left.

"What are you doing in Reeds Hill?" I questioned.

"We just moved back here 2 days ago actually," She answered.

"Wait really?" I questioned in shock.

"Yeah, my mom isn't really a big fan of the school district," replied Vivien.

"Will you be moving back into your old house?" I asked.

"Yeah," said Vivien.

I didn't really know what to talk to her about since she ghosted me for almost 3 years. I missed her, but to be honest I kind of forgot about her.

"How's Kahlil?" She asked, finally breaking the silence.

"He's cute," I said.

Did I seriously say that out loud?

"I mean he's fine," I said awkwardly.

I could tell she was holding in laughter.

"So you still have a crush on him," She chuckled.

"Yeah," I said.

"Why don't you just tell him?" asked Vivien, "It's been 4 years since you started to like him."

"I'm just nervous that he will-"

"Reject you?" She said cutting me off.

"Yeah," I said.

"You don't know he will until you tell him," said Vivien.

"Yeah, but why would he like me back?" I asked.

"If he didn't like you back, why would he hang out with you outside of therapy?" She questioned with a small smile.

"I don't know," I sighed.

"What's not to like?" smiled Vivien.

"Many things," I sighed, frowning.

"Such as?" She questioned.

I didn't answer. I couldn't think of a single reason.

"See, you don't even know yourself," said Vivien.

"Yeah, I guess," I replied.

"How about we go to McDonald's like old times?" suggested Vivien with a smile.

"Sure," I said.

"Wait, do you still work there?" She asked me.

"No, I work at Target," I said.

We began to walk in the direction of McDonald's.

"That's an odd job for you," responded Vivien.

"Why?" I questioned.

"I just know you don't like talking to strangers," answered Vivien.

"I'm a stocker," I confirmed.

"Oh okay, that makes a lot more sense," She said.

I didn't actually want to go to McDonald's since it was getting dark and it was a quite long walk.  I had no one to protect me. In case I got hurt. The McDonald's is also old looking. There is graffiti on the sides. Men hang around the corners. What's even worse is that last time I went out at night. I assaulted a gang member.
