Chapter 32: Alone Time

- The Following Day -

*Patrick*
It was lunchtime, they were lying in bed, Ellen's head on his chest. He ran his hand through her hair and down her bare back, he kissed the top of her head, the more he held her the more he fell in love with her. 'We should get up, get dressed, filming will probably be starting again soon' she said without moving, 'Noooo, 5 more minutes' he said wrapping his arms around her. His phone buzzed but he wasn't going to ruin the moment with Ellen, a few minutes later Ellen's phone buzzed. 'Ughhh, we're going to have to get up aren't we?' he said sighing, she laughed, pushing herself up 'I think so'. He watched her as she leant across him and picked up her phone, he watched her face as she read her text 'What is it? Who texted you?' he asked rubbing her leg. 'It's Chris, he's going away for a couple of weeks to see his family in Boston' she said smiling at him, 'Mmmm, that sounds like it will be fun' he said giving her a peck on the lips. He reached for his phone, he had a text from Jill, 'Guess what' he said to Ellen, 'What' she responded, smiling curiously at him. 'It looks like I'll be free for a bit too' he said smiling at her, 'What do you mean?' she asked, 'Jill is taking Talula to see her family in Texas for a fortnight' he said. 'A couple weeks just the two of us' she said climbing on top of him, he kissed her and said onto her lips 'A couple of weeks just the two of us'.

*Ellen*
He ran his hand through her hair and down her back, it was the best feeling, lying there listening to his heart beat. She didn't know how it was possible but in these moments, with him holding her, she fell in love with him even more. She realised that people might start wondering where they were, they'd already been gone for lunch for around 45 mins. 'We should get up, get dressed, filming will probably be starting again soon' she said, she felt his arms wrap around her tighter as he said 'Noooo, 5 more minutes'. She nuzzled in closer to him, she heard his phone buzz but he ignored it, they stayed there in each other's arms for a few minutes before her phone buzzed. 'Ughhh, we're going to have to get up aren't we?' he said sighing, she laughed, pushing herself up 'I think so'. Her phone was on the other side of him so she leant across and grabbed it, she had a text from Chris, she couldn't help but smile as she read it. 'What is it? Who texted you?' he asked rubbing her leg, 'It's Chris, he's going away for a couple of weeks to see his family in Boston'. She watched his face light up, 'Mmmm, that sounds like it will be fun' he said giving her a peck on the lips. She watched him get is phone and look at the text, 'Guess what' he said giving her his cheeky smile. 'What?' she asked curiously, she couldn't help but smile at the expression on his face, 'It looks like I'll be free for a bit too' he said smiling at her, 'What do you mean?' she asked, 'Jill is taking Talula to see her family in Texas for a fortnight' he said. They were going to be alone for a couple of weeks, this was exactly what they needed. She climbed on top of him and said 'A couple of weeks just the two of us', he kissed her lips softly and repeated onto them 'A couple of weeks just the two of us'.

*Patrick*
They were filming at the hospital, he was sitting on one of the swivelling chairs and she was sitting on the floor with her back against the wall. They had been trying to film this scene for over half an hour but Ellen kept getting her lines wrong. He picked up the phone and pretended to dial, 'Hello this is Dr Shepherd, I'd like to get a hotel, double suite, cos I'm gonna have some love time tonight' he said looking at Ellen, she started laughing and said 'You're an asshole, I was doing so good'. 'Does that mean no love time?' he said laughing, 'It depends how you make it up to me' she said smirking at him.
They finally finished shooting the scene, he got up and walked up behind Ellen, 'What are you doing?' she asked without turning around. He grabbed her waist and kissed her cheek, 'I just love you' he whispered in her ear. 'Not in public Paddy' she said, 'When Jill and Chris her back we should tell them' he said softly, 'Really?' she asked turning around. 'Really, I think we're ready' he said, his face inches away from hers, 'That sounds like a good idea' she said turning away from him. 'I'll see you in a couple hours' she said walking away.

*Ellen*
She was sitting on the floor with her back against the wall, she watched as Patrick picked up the phone, she narrowed her eyes, she was pretty sure this wasn't in the script. He said 'Hello this is Dr Shepherd, I'd like to get a hotel, double suite, cos I'm gonna have some love time tonight', she couldn't help but laugh. She'd gotten all of her lines right this time and of course he had to screw around like this.
'You're an asshole, I was doing so good' she said 'Does that mean no love time?' he said laughing, 'It depends how you make it up to me' she said smirking at him.
They finished shooting the scene, she was talking to a crew member when she felt him come up behind her. She always knew when he was close, 'What are you doing?' she asked knowing how stupid he could be. He grabbed her waist and kissed her cheek from behind, 'I just love you' he whispered into her ear. She really was always going to have to be the responsible one, 'Not in public Paddy' she said,'When Jill and Chris her back we should tell them' he said softly. She couldn't believe that he was finally ready, 'Really?' she asked, turning around to look at him, 'Really, I think we're ready' he said, his face inches away from hers. The feeling of his warm breath on her face too much to handle with people watching, she turned away as she said 'That sounds like a good idea'. She started walking away to shoot her next scene 'I'll see you in a couple hours'.
