It was now Friday, and everyone has noticed that Lisa was attending school far more often than before. Sure, she sometimes turned up late, or left in the middle of the day for smokes, but she was always back by lunchtime, only to disappear somewhere on campus. It had also become some sort of appointment for Chaeyoung to leave her friends at the end of lunch to head to the pool storeroom under the guise of needing to meet with teachers about school work. People hadn't put two and two together, and frankly, she didn't expect them to; she and Lisa were never in the same thought bubble, since they were two very different people with very different reputations. But, somehow, it always ended up being the two of them in the back storeroom surrounded by the smell of chlorine and the feeling of foam kickboards under them backs.

She frowned as Lisa lit a cigarette above her face, inhaling deeply before exhaling a plume of swirling grey. She let out a slight noise of disgust from her breath, Lisa just snickering in response and blowing a waft down towards her face. Lisa was sitting with her back against the brick wall of the storeroom, her legs laid out flat as Chaeyoung's head rested comfortably on her thighs. Though not the softest things in the word, Lisa's legs were comfortable enough and she didn't want to move, even if the brunette was blowing that putrid smoke into her face.

"If you want to get cancer go ahead, but I'm good without it, thanks," Chaeyoung said, scrunching her nose as Lisa just looked down at her in amusement. Her fingers twitched as she had to push back the urge to reach up and run her fingers through Lisa's dark hair, which hung over her eyes as she bent her neck down. After looking at Chaeyoung's crinkled nose for a second longer, Lisa sighed and crushed the cigarette against the stone ground, orange embers dying as the lit end was snuffed out.

"Happy now?" Lisa asked, rolling her eyes a little, though her mouth was smiling as Chaeyoung nodded, humming.

"Much happier. Those things taste like shit, I don't even know why you smoke them," She said, Lisa laughing.

"It's something that keeps my hands busy. And you get used to the taste," Lisa said, eyes alight as she leaned down, kissing Chaeyoung. Who's eyes fluttered closed as she relished in the feeling of Lisa's mouth on hers, not really minding the slight taste of tobacco which had, unfortunately, become something she was growing used to.

"I guess you really do," she murmured against Lisa's mouth, the girl grinning as she pulled back, a little triumphant. Letting her hand move upwards, Chaeyoung slapped Lisa's hand as she began to reach for another cigarette. "Nope. This is a cancer free zone, asshole. Keep your hands busy another way."

"Like this?" Lisa said, linking Chaeyoung's fingers with her own in the air. Chaeyoung stared at their intertwined hands and felt her stomach flip as Lisa's delicate thumb drew a circle on the back of her hand slowly.

"It's an improvement," she replied flippantly, Lisa letting out a snort as she lowered their hands onto Chaeyoung's stomach, still clasped together tightly. She found her eyes closing as Lisa's free hand started to fiddle with her hair, long fingers raking through the locks lazily as she found another way to keep her fingers busy. Better than smoking, she guessed, even if it made her toes curl every time Lisa's nails would tickle her scalp.

It felt like an eternity until either of them spoke again, both of them just basking in the comfortable silence and feeling of their hands on each other, even if the touches were (mostly) innocent. Feeling Lisa's warmth on her stomach and cradling her head was comforting, and comforting wasn't usually something that accompanied Lisa. Something about the ease of being by her side stirred something inside Chaeyoung, but she didn't want to figure out what that was and just crushed the feeling down like the butt of the cigarette.

Lisa was the one to break the silence, her fingers stroking Chaeyoung's hair stilling as she spoke.

"That boy you're always with," Lisa said, Chaeyoung's eyes opening as Lisa paused. She swallowed, turning her body and head to the side to avoid Lisa's gaze, though she couldn't bring herself to lift her head off her thigh. Lisa's hand in her hair pulled away as she moved, but reattached itself as she stilled again.
